Guest Your Olympic Hero Posted May 9, 2002 Report Posted May 9, 2002 Apparently Shawn Stasiak is now from Planet Stasiak. Also, Cactus Jack was from Truth or Consequences, New Mexico. Is that a real place, or did I just make myself look like a jackass for even asking the question?
Guest Flyboy Posted May 9, 2002 Report Posted May 9, 2002 The old WCW tag team that was from fucking "WCW Special Forces"... that's just hilarious.
Guest Posted May 9, 2002 Report Posted May 9, 2002 Maxx Payne: from the State of Euphoria. That just killed me.
Guest Tony149 Posted May 9, 2002 Report Posted May 9, 2002 When Sid was in the NWA/WCW in the late '80s-'91. He was announced from being "From anywhere he darn well pleases".
Guest Risk Posted May 9, 2002 Report Posted May 9, 2002 The Shark-Ten thousand leagues beneath the bottom of the sea. Contradiction. Undertaker-Death Valley or Parts Unknown I think Dudleyville was supposed to be a referance to the ECW arena.
Guest Posted May 9, 2002 Report Posted May 9, 2002 Truth or Consequences apparently exist. Apparently, Mick Foley is also the "Mayor of Parts Unknown..."
Guest J*ingus Posted May 9, 2002 Report Posted May 9, 2002 A friend of mine who's an indy worker always gets announced as "from parts well known".
Guest nl5xsk1 Posted May 9, 2002 Report Posted May 9, 2002 I can't remember if it was Eddie Gilbert and Sting from the old UWF or Jim Cornette's Midnite Xpress, but they were announced as being from "Every man's nightmare and every woman's dream." Just hilarious
Guest Posted May 9, 2002 Report Posted May 9, 2002 There was a spiderman clone in Wcw for a while aracnidman from Webcity marvel killed that quick
Guest evenflowDDT Posted May 9, 2002 Report Posted May 9, 2002 Truth or Consequences apparently exist. Truth or Consequences, New Mexico is indeed a real town that changed its name in the '50s after the producers of that show offered them a grand total of $50,000. Bet they feel stupid now, huh? Personally, I don't like it when wrestlers are announced as being "from parts unknown". It says the bookers want to be original but are too lazy to actually try it... "from parts well-known" is a lot funnier. Even though it's not really weird, I liked it when they announced Raven was from The Bowery, just because it shows somebody did their homework with the character.
Guest cynicalprofit Posted May 9, 2002 Report Posted May 9, 2002 Kevin Sullivan: From the Iron Gates of Fate I use that one when someone ask where I'm from.
Guest Posted May 9, 2002 Report Posted May 9, 2002 The Shark-Ten thousand leagues beneath the bottom of the sea. Contradiction. Does that mean he lives Under the ocean floor? If that's true it would mean he would live probaly close to or in Hell.
Guest Posted May 9, 2002 Report Posted May 9, 2002 Wasn't Hack Meyers announced as being: "from the last house on the left?"
Guest dreamer420 Posted May 9, 2002 Report Posted May 9, 2002 the godfather is announced as "from the red light district"
Guest Risk Posted May 9, 2002 Report Posted May 9, 2002 Where was The Giant announced from when he was a part of The Dungeon of Dung? Maybe the whole Dungeon should have been announced from "The Deep recesses of Kevin Sullivan's deranged mind."
Guest dreamer420 Posted May 9, 2002 Report Posted May 9, 2002 "hailing from the crack that kevin sullivan was smoking"
Guest Posted May 9, 2002 Report Posted May 9, 2002 My roommate went to an indie show last year that featured 'Slayer the Dogboy,' announced as 'from a dead rat.' Swan wrote: Canada BWA-HA-HA!
Guest dreamer420 Posted May 10, 2002 Report Posted May 10, 2002 It sure is weird that Benoit, Jericho, and Storm are hail from that weird Canada place eh?

Guest treble charged Posted May 10, 2002 Report Posted May 10, 2002 Did no one in here ever watch WOW? Jane Blonde came from "Her majesty's secret service" Caged Heat came from "The state penitentiary". There were a lot more, but I can't remember them off the top of my head (maybe I'll have to go back and watch the PPV).
