Guest Frankie Williams Posted May 14, 2002 Report Posted May 14, 2002 I'm pretty sure Saba Simba was from Africa So was Akeem after the Slickster converted him Not only did Akeem from Africa, her came from DEEPEST DARKEST Africa.
Guest Jericholic82 Posted May 15, 2002 Report Posted May 15, 2002 I watched wow and boy did they have crappy gimmicks. The best hometown I have heard is from Spring Stampede 94, Buffer announced the Nasty Boys as being "from somewhere in or around New York City" wtf and weren't the nasties always siad to have come from Allentown, PN in the wwf. wonder why they changed it in wcw.
Guest Posted May 17, 2002 Report Posted May 17, 2002 I was just watching the Spring Stampede where DDP won the title for the first time, and good ole' Blitzkreig was announced as being from The Cosmos. Now don't that just beat all.
Guest Redhawk Posted May 23, 2002 Report Posted May 23, 2002 The old WCW tag team that was from fucking "WCW Special Forces"... that's just hilarious. What team was that? I remember Firebreaker Chip and some other guy. I liked how Christian was always from Toronto, then switched to Tampa after he turned on Edge. Shows the writers were thinking. And when did Undertaker switch from being from Death Valley to being from Houston? Did his de-zombifictation have a factor in this? And shouldn't Kane be either from Death Valley, Houston, or "Paul Bearer's basement"?
Guest Posted May 23, 2002 Report Posted May 23, 2002 What's wrong with Nutley? My girlfriend's from there. Great .sig, by the way.
Guest swan Posted May 23, 2002 Report Posted May 23, 2002 What team was that? I remember Firebreaker Chip and some other guy. Christian now lives in Florida as do many wrestlers because of the lack of income tax.
Guest Redhawk Posted May 23, 2002 Report Posted May 23, 2002 That's nice. But I was talking about how after he turned he said something about how Canada sucked and he was moving to Florida.
Guest Posted May 23, 2002 Report Posted May 23, 2002 The funniest shit about Akeem being from "Deepest, Darkest Africa" is that we've all seen how people from there look. Meanwhile I've built snowmen with darker tans than Akeem. Another "skin color inconsistency" = The "Death Valley" shit always seemed kind of dumb too. The name may be cool, but its a fucking blazing hot desert, and the Undertaker circa 1990 looked like he'd never come out of his bedroom.
Guest dreamer420 Posted May 24, 2002 Report Posted May 24, 2002 They announced the Taker as being from Death Valley, Texas, so maybe they wanted a scary sounding place in Takers home state.
Guest nWoScorpion Posted May 24, 2002 Report Posted May 24, 2002 Max Moon: Outer Space Luna: From Darkest Side of the planet or somethin.
Guest bob_barron Posted May 24, 2002 Report Posted May 24, 2002 The best was- (I think Nastys) The nastiest part in all of New York City.
Guest The Metal Maniac Posted May 24, 2002 Report Posted May 24, 2002 You're all wrong. "Who" had the best ring introduction ever: "From Who-Knows-Where...weighing Who-Knows-What...WHO!"
Guest Posted May 24, 2002 Report Posted May 24, 2002 Does anyone have information on: Bastion Booger Zeus Col. Mustafa Oddities Warlord Ultimate Lunatic (Warrior) Berzerker
Guest DEEP THOUGHT Posted May 25, 2002 Report Posted May 25, 2002 The Ultimate Warrior and The Warlord were always "from parts unknown" The Berzerker hailed from "Iceland" The Oddities may have hailed from "The Circus" --I've probably mixed that up with another wrestler though. I don't recall ring announcers ever giving a hometown for Zeus, Col. Mustafa or Bastion Booger.
Guest alfdogg Posted May 25, 2002 Report Posted May 25, 2002 Does anyone have information on: Bastion Booger Zeus Col. Mustafa Oddities Warlord Ultimate Lunatic (Warrior) Berzerker Berzerker was from Iceland. Warrior & Warlord were Parts Unknown (I think). Mustafa was from Iraq, I think. That's all I know.
Guest Sykotic2002 Posted May 29, 2002 Report Posted May 29, 2002 My personal favorite- Kevin Sullivan: Halfway to No Where
Guest Posted June 3, 2002 Report Posted June 3, 2002 Luna Vachon: "The Other Side of Darkness" Wouldn't that be "The Light"?
Guest dreamer420 Posted June 4, 2002 Report Posted June 4, 2002 hailing from the light just doesn't have the same ring to it though.
Guest Ravenbomb Posted June 29, 2002 Report Posted June 29, 2002 Luna was from 'The other side of darkness' The ninja - 'Hailing from the Shadows' Ms. Chiff and Delirious - Dante's Inferno Nikki Strychnine - Toxic waste dumps of New Jersey
Guest Phoenix Fury Legdrop Posted June 30, 2002 Report Posted June 30, 2002 NWA Wildside's Lost Boys are announced from "The Middle Of Nowhere", so I guess they're better than Kevin Sullivan, who is from "Somewhere NEAR Nowhere", but not in the middle. Man, that didn't make sense.
Guest chirs3 Posted June 30, 2002 Report Posted June 30, 2002 Strangest? I would hafta go with "Parts Unknown". How do you not know? Just freakin' ask the guy.
