WWF/WCW wrestler Bam Bam Bigelow is now accepting independent booking dates. His contract with Time Warner/AOL has run out as this is the first time he has accepted bookings. Credit 411wrestling.

I would love it if the WWF would pick up Bigelow now that he is a free agent. He was always one of the better big men, and I have been a fan of his for quite some time.

The last thing WWE needs right now is more wrestlers.

WWE needs to reorganize their roster before lookng at adding more people. Fire some guys, repackage some guys send some guys down to OVW/HWA. They need to do anything that doesn't involve adding more.

Besides, Bigelow wasn't afraid to suck the meat missile with some serious gusto while he was in WCW.

He's become a slovenly, lazy worker---lord knows the WWE has enough of that.

Haven't we all learned yet that the answer lies not in rehashing the past but in planning for the future?

Or are we prepared to continue this revolving door policy with over-the-hill wrestlers who can't go anymore, while talented up-and-comers and stars-in-waiting languish below the untouchable Established Guard?

Wake me when the bleeding stops...

I dunno.  I think we all know that Vince is secretly been planning Bigelow vs Lawrence Taylor 2 for the Main Event of Wrestlemania X9....

You nailed it right on the head.  I used to seriously mark out for Bam Bam, back in the Whippleman days.  Hey, even if we wasn't majorly amazing at least he put on the apperance of being a "Big man that can fly!" or whatever Gorilla used to say about him.  I especially like his Survivor Series match where he ended up getting beat by Andre after pulling out upsets with One Man Gang and King Kong Bundy back to back.  That underdog feeling gave the match a neat feel.  Lots of credibility gained in my mark eyes during that match.  Now?  He doesn't seem nearly as big, is older and not so agile and his tatooed head isn't scary anymore.  Times change I guess.

TESTIFY!

The WWE has seemed to have forgotten their old mantra (circa 97-99) of creating new & refreshing stars. So sad.

Bigelow is a whale now, and a sluggish, lazy, and borring one at that.

That's very true.  He was one of the better big men.  Just like Hulk Hogan was a huge ratings boost.

That was then.  This is now.  Hogan can't bring in the ratings anymore.  And in his last days with WCW, Bigelow got blown up in every one of his matches in 60 seconds or less.

I dunno, I liked the "Jersey Triad." I still think that Bigelow could add something to the programs. If Kevin Nash can get rehired, then surely Bigelow can.

Yeah then he can resume his feud with Planet Stasiak!

The guy started coming out in a janitor's shirt and indy looking tights, he got lazy and just threw his look down the drain.

You gotta keep up the look. Credibility is gone after the Goldberg squash and just countless crap Russo booked him with. Sorry Bam Bam, but you're done.

A lot of wrestlers can make it back into mainstream after bad booking.

Bam Bam isn't done because a bunch of people on a message board say he is. He is done when he says he is.

Good point, but it sure as hell hurts, the marks will have a hard time accepting him, and they account for at least 50% of the audience.

Look at Booker, DDP, people like that. I'd bring the,m to the top in a second, but them getting over and being accepted whole heartedly would not be and easy task.

Sure it would, if it was wrote correctly. Look at Austin & The Rock early in the WWF.

Austin and the Rock had tons of charisma that the writers were able to tap into.

Bigelow didn't have near that kind of charisma in his salad days. Sure, everyone wanted him because he was a big guy who could do a cartwheel. But they soon realized that he didn't have that intangible aura that gave the fans a reason to get behind him. That's why he was never main event material. It's now over a decade later. He's slower, fatter, and less motivated. In this atmosphere of bigger, better looking and faster guys who can do more aerial maneuvers than Bigelow's got fat flaps, what do you think his chances are now?

Bigelow's best days are long gone...

I'm not wanting Bigelow to be a main eventer. The Rock & Austin were just examples. How about Kane? He was Jerry Lawler's dentist, and now he main events. It all comes down to the writers and how the wrestler is booked. I'm not wanting Bam Bam to be in the main event, so he doesn't need that much charisma, especially as a heel.

It was just a thought anyway.

Heh. no.

See, you can tell when someone is done man. Hogan, is done. Hogan doesn;t say when he is done, you can tell he is. Bigelow, is done, and really at this point can't add much more to the wwE. err

You are more likely to see Kamala sign a contract than Bigelow.

Uhg.

It's pointless to try to talk to smarks. Why don't you all just quote each other? No one ever says anything new anyway.

Granted, Bigelow doesn't have to be pushed as a main eventer, but there's already a glut of low- to mid-card heels on both shows, some decent but not given a push, and some that just don't warrant one. At this stage in his life, I don't see Bigelow bringing anything to the table to warrant any kind of exposure. If you're going to hire him as cannon fodder, they have more guys in that department than they know what to do. Even using him for name recognition isn't a good idea either, because long time fanse see him as a choker and newer fans will see him as yet another old-timer who can't hang with the the young lions.

Seriously, it would be yet more wasted money out of Vince's pocket and more wasted airtime that could be given to guys who really need and deserve it.

The same reason that I write for it. Love of the business.

Heh Bigelow won't be back the same reason his push was destroyed is still in the WWF.

the Kliq still remains WWF Nash, HBK, X-pac, HHH. So if he wants a repeat of 95 then he won't come.

Well, they have Bam Bam 2.0 in Hugh Morris(a big guy that is quick and can do a moonsault) plus Hugh is better on the mic and has more charisma(I mean he got that horrible gimmick over in WCW..General Rection???) and can put on a better match. Use what you got instead of what you can get.

It is harder though, when a guy has already been established and had a good run and then depushed and booked as a joke to get back. Yeah everyone starts off with hokey gimmicks and goes through changes.  But when you main evented Wrestlemania, were a focal point for WWF, then went ot ECW where you were the top guy, got put into a big angle in WCW and then your career tanks, getting back up to that level is damn near impossible.

You might as well try and get Luger to be a top face again. Good luck!

Bigelow will probably wind up as a heel in the Jarrett's promotion, or working for the WWA.  He actually might not be that bad if he's motivated, but I think it's safe to say that we'll never see him back in the WWF(E).
