Guest Posted May 9, 2002 Report Posted May 9, 2002 I went to a screening of the original Clerks movie sometime last year, which had a Q&A session with Brian O'Halloran and he mentioned that they would be making an animated feature of the animated Clerks series (which I thought was hilarious!)...and it looks like something's finally coming of this: http://us.imdb.com/Title?0289900 Anyone know if this is true, or another fake post at IMDB? I know that a lot of their stuff is user generated... so I wonder if this is the truth?
Guest Posted May 9, 2002 Report Posted May 9, 2002 I haven't a clue, as I'm not really into Askew news as much as I should be, but I hope so. The black and white Clerks was eh, but the cartoon looks like it's hilarious and I'm definitely gonna check it out.
Guest Karnage Posted May 9, 2002 Report Posted May 9, 2002 Kevin Smith did say something about an animated movie on the Clerks Uncensored DVD commentary, but its going to be a long while from now due to Kevin Smith having to do Jersey Girl, Fletch Won, writing Amazing Spider-Man, etc. It's a crazy idea to make a movie based on a cartoon that got canned after two episodes though.
Guest 5_moves_of_doom Posted May 9, 2002 Report Posted May 9, 2002 It's a crazy idea to make a movie based on a cartoon that got canned after two episodes though. Correction! It actually would be a movie based on a cartoon that got canned after two episodes that was based on a cheap-ass movie that about 2 people have seen. In all truthfullness though, I'm a huge Clerks fan of the original and the cartoon, and am looking forward to this.
Guest J*ingus Posted May 9, 2002 Report Posted May 9, 2002 Hey, why not make it? After all, the Naked Gun movies were based on a TV show that was canceled after only a couple of episodes.
Guest converge241 Posted May 9, 2002 Report Posted May 9, 2002 its called Clerks: $ell Out and it has been planned for a while, same animators, voices.. check out view askew

Episode 4 has to be my favorite. "Who is driving car?" "OH MY GOD! Bear is driving car! How can that be?!"
Guest evenflowDDT Posted May 9, 2002 Report Posted May 9, 2002 Yea, I actually enjoy the Clerks animated series more than the movie. What's this about fake IMDb posts though? IMDb does at least some checking up before adding to their database, so I think it'd be hard to do that... hell, if they reject half of my real posts why would they add fake ones?

I've seen some pretty ridiculous ones in there before. Remember the ones about Stephanie McMahon being married to Howard Finkel?
Guest evenflowDDT Posted May 10, 2002 Report Posted May 10, 2002 I don't use IMDb for wrestling info... for the obvious reason that it's the Internet MOVIE Database and not a great wrestling resource like TheSmartMarks (who me? cheap plug? ). The only huge glaring error that I've seen on IMDb though is this entry... Godzilla vs. Gorgo? Please... unless it's a bootleg film, in which case I'd like to see it even though it'll tarnish the image of both.
Guest Ravenbomb Posted May 11, 2002 Report Posted May 11, 2002 Eh, up until a year or so ago I thought all those Giant Japanese Monsters were all in the same little universe, although I wouldn't mind seeing Godzilla vs. Gamera if it was ever made. And IMDb is missing stuff too, like Under Pressure staring Men at Work's Charlie Sheen
Guest evenflowDDT Posted May 11, 2002 Report Posted May 11, 2002 And IMDb is missing stuff too, like Under Pressure staring Men at Work's Charlie Sheen Well, since it gets its info from a user database there's only one way to fix that...
