”Deathwish” Danny Williams v Frost

- Williams lost the Euro title on Metal, and Frost won the number one contendership to that same title now held by Tod deKindes!  The new champ was lucky enough to get the night off, so these two men who are hot on his heels will fight each other in a hardcore match to get their… frustrations out.

- Word Limit: 4500

 

Promo – Tod deKindes, not scheduled to compete tonight, has a few comments about his Euro title win and his thoughts on his nearest competitors, those being Deathwish, TNT (the TV champ), and Frost.

”TNT” Taylor Nicholas Thompson v Sydney Sky

- The TV champ deserves to be booked against quality competition.  Sky does not deserve a title shot due to a lackluster performance and sound thrashing at the hands of Xero at Metal.  End result?  This match.

Inferno Match for the Number One Contendership to the SJL Heavyweight belt - Send to Grand Slam

Jacob Helmsley v Xero

- Xero won impressively on Metal, but the fans want more!  They want a Contender they can get behind, and the want creative violence!  Thus, this match.  The winner of this match will get the SJL champ, whoever it may be, on next Crimson.  Assuming that either man survives, of course.

Rules – Duh.  Once both men are in the ring the bottom ring rope will be set on fire.  The first man to catch on fire loses.  NO DQ or countouts.  Stationed around the ring will be many, many refs with fire extinguishers to prevent injury.  Don’t go too nuts guys.  Remember, we’d prefer if you didn’t kill anyone.  Try to set boots and gloves on fire, will ya?

Promo – “The Superior One” Tom Flesher is pissed.  Royally pissed, and who can blame him?  Well tonight is the first step toward regaining his title as he names the stipulations for his rematch on Metal.  Surely, Ash’s reign will go down in the record books… but probably not for the reasons he wanted.

Why get so pissy and overreact over somehting like this?  It's e-fed wrestling.  I know this is about the title match but if anyone was wronged, it was Tom Flesher... but do you see him whining?  No.  He has kept his cool and I advise everyone else to do the same.

 

Just try not to take things so damn hard.  I guess if I was being pummeled with critism PMs I could see it but I don't know if that's happening and from what I've seen on the boards, there really wasn't much of that.

 

Don't worry about it so much so you can chill.  I can tell it's stressful but just take alittle break or something.

 

I dunno... I guess it's all the 'don't screw with me' 'don't piss me off' and 'be very careful treading around here for the next few days' stuff getting to me.

 

I guess I'll step out before anything grows.  The whole 'issue' will be solved soon enough.

Well, I haven't read any of the biznitching or whatever on the comments thread yet, so I'll check out what's going on there and offer a few lobs from the Commissionary position.

 

Cool card though--King = pimpin' booker.  And King, if you want, I'll be able to post Crimson on Saturday.  Now that I'm home from college the odds of me staying out till 4 or 5 AM are significantly lower.  Drop me a line if yer interested.

OK guys, here is the thing...

 

I know King in real life, so I can speak with a little authority on this matter.  King actually works very hard on the SJL.  He takes grading the matches very seriously and does so in an effort to be as impartial and objective as possible.  He loves making cards.  So when someone, anyone, throws an accusation of impartiality at him, it hurts.  I know what it is like to be on the losing end of a match I (to this day) think I should have won.  But I don't say anything, because when it comes right down to it, you are always going to think your match is better than the other guys.  You wrote it!  Of course you like it better.  

 

The simple fact of the matter is this: when you agree to join this fed, you agree to certain rules.  One of them is that someone has to grade your matches and decide who wins.  You may not always agree, but that person is the final arbiter.  If you have a problem with it, you can PM them, and if there is still a problem, you can PM the commish.  Pretty simple actually.

 

King is proud of his match grading and he is proud of his cards.  Having someone say that he is anything less than fair is a pretty big attack on what kind of a person he is.  So he naturally takes it personally.  I would too.

 

So here is my suggestion.  Let it drop.  All of it.  Let King cool off a little, let everybody take a deep breath and let things get back to normal.  Besides, if the principles aren't annoyed about it, why is anyone else?

Well... I the Inferno Match I know of, the apron is lit on fire once the bell rings and it's kinda hard to get out unless you can fly like the Undertaker.

 

Also, everytime someone is slammed on the ring, the flames shoot up and then die back down.

 

This match should really be set up with an angle to justify the gimmick.  Take/Kane had the whole 'Undertaker Burned Kane's Face' thing going but if there's no background it's kinda wasted.

2.) Just a suggestion to bookers, could you PLEASE put me in a gimmick match every once and a while? Besides ONE hardcore three-way and ONE tag match, all of my matches have been non-gimmick singles matches, and I need some variety.

Xero, it's no-DQ.  Obviously you can use chairs.  Think of it like this: the bottom rope is on fire, and the flames are as wild as you want them to be.  First man on fire loses.  You can go in the ring or out of the ring, but the moment someone ignites, it's all over.

 

Pretty simple, really.  It's a No-DQ match, but with the special fire stipulation.

I'm booking Metal, and I want to keep as on schedule as possible even despite this show being a bit late.  So, here's the announcement:

 

I will not be offering extensions of any sort.  I wholeheartedly encourage my markers to do the same.

 

Matches for this show are short, and so EVERYTHING, promos included, are due by 12 PM board time on Sunday.  I want to be able to get the show up by 4 PM board time at the absolute latest, and have a Metal card for you all in the afternoon.  There's a world title match slated for Metal, and I want it to have as much time for writing as possible.

 

That is all.  Cliffs notes: no extensions, get all your stuff in on time.  TA-DA!
