Was Jasper in on the whole deal with Duvall from the beginning or did he find some way to get through to them during the attack? I remember him saying that if they had just turned Bishop over to them in the first place, nobody would've died.

 

Also, Jasper was the one sneaking around the basement while Bishop was down there, right? Not Jake's friend, who they thought was one of Duvall's men.

Yes Jasper was sneaking around and opened the back door. And I assume he was in on it from the begining and thus he agreed to take Bishop in eventhough Jake(Ethan Hawke right?) didn't want to. Plus it is why he was adamant in wanting to give Bishop up and why he kept repeating that it was Bishop's men at fault.

In the beginning of the movie, Jasper says that he "just got news" that he was retiring....motherfuckers don't "just get news" that they can retire. He was in on it all along.
