We need to establish a scale

Recommended Posts

TBS, 1-800-FUNNY. Those are at least .8 Everest.

Oh, and the commercials where they just replay sitcom lines get reeeeeally tiresome too. I think I must just be watching too much TBS lately.

Bump

The latest set of commercials to annoy me are the ones where someone asks questions about pop culture (like celebs or sports figures) then end with something like "Oh by the way, do you know such-and-such about your kid?!"

And it's stuff you'd have no way in hell of knowing unless you freakin' stalk your own children. It's creepy as hell.

My answer to the question is always "the fat kid"

"Who sits in front of your kid in homeroom?"

"The fat kid."

"Who is one of your child's classmates?"

"The fat kid."

"Name one of your child's teachers."

"...the fat kid."

local Chicago commercial that NEEDS to be overplayed:

"Look! It's Eagleman!"

"I'VE got something for YOOOOOOOOOU"

the classic Victory Auto Wreckers commercial that has been running since about 1979 still makes a special guest appearance now and then, usually on channel 9. I don't see it as often as I did, say, 9 years ago.

What about Mad Max Manson?

Or how about ROOOOAARRRMANN! That Rohrman guy.

I went up to Chicago last week, saw those comercials, and actually felt like I was a kid again, heh.
