Matt Young Posted January 26, 2005 Report Posted January 26, 2005 I've been playing the guitar and writing songs for quite a while now, but my instrumental ability is limited to the guitar and some bass. What I'm looking for is a cheap or, preferably, free program for the PC where I can do something like put in a sequence of notes and have the program play those notes using an emulation of whichever instrument I choose. That way, I can mess around with ideas for songs and include other instruments which I am currently incapable of playing. I hope that was understandable. Can anyone give me any suggestions?

I know there are plenty around, it's just a matter of finding them. I figure that I can mess around with my ideas this way until I actually get a band together. Thanks for the links.
