Guest Lord of The Curry Report post Posted May 10, 2002 Wow. That's really all I could say about this episode. Right now, fresh in my mind, it was the best episode in the history of the series. Having said that, and I'm not ashamed to admit this, the final 10 minutes had me crying like a little girl. I really haven't been affected by T.V like that for a long, long time. I'm posting this in hopes that I'm not the only pussy in this world and that others saw it and it hopefully evoked the similar emotional response in them as it did me. Guest Mik at Cornell Report post Posted May 10, 2002 I saw it. I had a lump in my throat but no tears. Probably because I was in my dorm lounge with all my friends, never would have heard the end of it. All the girls were crying though. It was the first episode of ER I have ever watched and I genuninely cared about what happened, that's good storytelling.

I haven't watched that show since around the time Clooney left.
Guest RetroRob215 Report post Posted May 18, 2002 I'll admit to crying during the episode. I have seen just about every ER episode ever, so I felt an emotional attachment to Dr. Greene. I had the most in common with him out of all the characters. Redhawk, Mark married Lizzy Corday, he got a brain tumor and it was removed, him and Lizzy had a baby. That was last season. This season, Mark's tumor comes back, it's inoperable, he tries to fix his relationship with Rachael by spending his last few days with her in Hawaii. Being the little bitch that she is, she isn't nice to him until the night he dies.
Guest franchise632 Report post Posted May 19, 2002 I wouldnt say its my favorite ER episode but it is certainly one of them. Knowing that Anthony Edwards was not coming back last year and this would be the last season I was resinged to the ineveitable. I still shed a few tears, luckily the room was fairly dark so there is plausable deniablity lol. Fortunatly ER is much better at building up other stars and Noah Wyle is ready to step into the lead role. Now the Carter/Abby storyline can really get going, bout damn time. The only thing that could have made the Farewell episode would have been for people like George Clooney and Julianna Margulies at the funeral scene. Being such huge parts of each others lives they should have been there and in real life likely would have been. Check out my ER fans thread that I started for other ER talk.
