Guest Shaved Bear Posted May 10, 2002 Report Posted May 10, 2002 i'd have to say goldberg, who cares about is life, what you gang say
Guest dreamer420 Posted May 10, 2002 Report Posted May 10, 2002 the rock's was horrible. worst money I ever spent.
Guest J*ingus Posted May 10, 2002 Report Posted May 10, 2002 I've read all of them (yes even Thesz, Billington, and Dibiase), and Rock's was easily the worst. Literally half the book was told as "The Rock" in character and in kayfabe, and it was mostly worthless. The biography part of Shamrock's book would be next, as it's quite literaly "Ken Shamrock is the best guy in the world", repeated for 200 pages (although the training & fighting sections are pretty good). Dibiase (GODGODGODGODwrestlingGODGODGODGOD) and Chyna (wow, this girl has some SERIOUS emotional issues) would be tied for third place.
Guest muzanisa Posted May 10, 2002 Report Posted May 10, 2002 The Rock Under The Mat, In which a woman scorned fucks over everyone except her dead brother and her father and Vince, makes out the business is the most horrible, decadent, sleazy environment to be in then angles for her son to get a job in the WWF. Stranglehold by the old AWA announcer, although some of the stories were jaw dropping.
Guest Mark4steamboat Posted May 11, 2002 Report Posted May 11, 2002 Rock's was okay from what i remember. Chyna's just plain sucked.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted May 11, 2002 Report Posted May 11, 2002 Rock's was awful Angle's was boring DDP's was so so...but started REAL slow
Guest treble charged Posted May 11, 2002 Report Posted May 11, 2002 Chyna's was a lot worse than The Rock's, IMO. Also, I was very much entertained by Diana Hart's autobiography, even though you have to take the entire book with a very large grain of salt.
Guest Kinetic Posted May 11, 2002 Report Posted May 11, 2002 The Rock's, from what I've read. Which only includes both of Foley's and Angle's books. Foley's were both great, I thought, and Angle's was all right. He came off as a little pompous and went off on ridiculous tangents at random intervals, but it was still pretty interesting. Rocky's book just sucked. Those chapters in character were painful to read.
Guest Mark4steamboat Posted May 11, 2002 Report Posted May 11, 2002 Kurt's was great. i read it in a day and couldnt put it down. ***** book.
Guest papacita Posted May 12, 2002 Report Posted May 12, 2002 Chyna's book was GREAT!!!!!!! She does have some issues though.
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted May 12, 2002 Report Posted May 12, 2002 Chyna's book was GREAT!!!!!!! She does have some issues though. dude you've got issues
Guest papacita Posted May 12, 2002 Report Posted May 12, 2002 If that's your way of saying "I agree Papacita, Chyna's book was indeed a modern day masterpiece. On a scale of 1-10, 1 being the worst, 10 being the best...I'd give it a 369! Very good show! Very good!", then I agree with you 100%. All markishness aside, I liked the book, and even though there are some parts of the book that seem kinda inaccurate (Sean Michaels gave up the title because of his bum back and knee injury), I think it was a lot better than people give it credit for. It's the only wrestling biography I've read, so I can't comment on the other ones, but it's a good book IMO.
