Guest Report post Posted May 12, 2002 I told my dad that Angle was going back to the Olympics and he told me he could see Kurt losing and Vince sending the Undertaker out to run in. Scary thing: So can I. and then, Triple H runs out, Pedgrees them all, and poses with the gold medals for 20+ minutes.

Guest AlwaysPissedOff Report post Posted May 12, 2002 Amidst all this talk, I haven't heard anyone say that this is a really bad idea to start with. First, Angle is doing pretty well in the WWF and making lots of money. If he goes off to the Olympics it is a "Ken Shamrock returning to shootfights" level fuck up. The only chance this would have of paying off for him would be for him to win the gold medal again and then come back to the WWF as a conquering hero and get the title IMMMEDIATELY. Really, if he is going to the Olympics again I don't see why anyone would badmouth the WWF for feuding him with Edge. Why put a guy who is leaving for 2 years in the main event? Check the second post of this thread. I basically said that. Also, I agree about having a guy main event when he's going to be leaving for two years anyway. It would just seem to be a waste of time to build the company around Kurt when he's not going to be there long enough to help out.
Guest Brian Report post Posted May 12, 2002 I don't think Angle is anywhere near as brash as Shamrock where he'll run his mouth like that. Good point, why should he be main eventing if he's going to disappear for one and a half years.
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted May 12, 2002 A man who had recently hald the belt will get more media coverage for himself (and the WWE) then a curtain jerker. Look at it this way. Rocky is/was all over the place with the Scorpion King. Would Goldust get this same kind of media coverage?
Guest Report post Posted May 12, 2002 Who do you think will replace Angle on Smackdown? Benoit possibly? Edge? Mark Henry? Brooklyn Brawler? The Fink? Okay ,so maybe writing Mark Henry crossed the line... This has been a Henry-Hating Taker Mark
Guest AlwaysPissedOff Report post Posted May 12, 2002 Heh, they'll probably turn Hunter again or just have Jericho as the numero uno heel bastard til they build up someone new(if Benoit is shipped to RAW).
