Guest The Great Wesuke Report post Posted May 12, 2002 This is a pretty cool subject. No real order... Brock Lesnar Kurt Angle Mark Henry Bradshaw (again) Godfather (again) Hardcore Holly (again) William Regal Chris Benoit
Guest Report post Posted May 12, 2002 Brawl For All. Here's a tournament for you. ROUND 1 Booker T Vs. Kurt Angle Brock Lesnar Vs. Triple H Rob Van Dam Vs. Scott Hall (work with me here...) Bradshaw Vs. Tajiri -Angle schools Booker T, easily, gaining the win. -Triple H gets all INTENSE~! but can't put away Lesnar. Lesnar gets revenge for HHH stopping his "no TKO" rules and wins by TKO over "the Lame". -RVD is puzzled that he has to face a fired WWE star in the first round. Hall never shows up, and RVD wonders who booked this? A bye. -Tajiri sneaks up on Bradshaw and kicks him in the face, winning by TKO. Bradshaw and Tajiri are seen hanging out the next week, but Bradshaw forced Tajiri to carry his luggage and be his slave. ROUND 2 -Angle easily handles Lesnar. -RVD shows up, but again receives a bye when Tajiri is found tied up in the shower and hazed by Bradshaw. ROUND 3 -Angle Vs. RVD...for the fate of the internet! RVD scores a few potato shots in early, but Angle dominates on the mat, throwing Rob around. A flock of Angle supporters gets into a scuffle with RVD's stoned friends. Angle locks on a submission, but RVD strikes him with a bong thrown to him by a masked person! RVD scores the shocking upset. EPILOGUE -The mystery assailant takes off the mask and it's revealed to be...Mrs. Angle! Kurt's wife "FOOLED US ALL" with her ESPN comments about RVD. She lets out a "IT WAS ME, KURT! IT WAS ME ALL ALONG!" as Jim Ross lets out "Son of a Bitch!" fade to black.
Guest evenflowDDT Report post Posted May 12, 2002 Ummm... forgive the dumb question but what's a Brawl For All tournament?
Guest Report post Posted May 12, 2002 The Brawl-for-all was an idea the WWE had in 1999, which was basicly WWF "shoot" (not planned) matches, with like real shots and stuff. They brought in guys like Steve Williams who are good at that kind of stuff to push the thing. It obviously didn't work, though. I'm probably wrong though..... Guest Ace309 Report post Posted May 12, 2002 It was, as TheSoleSurvivor said, a shoot tournament similar to the bastard child of boxing and amateur wrestling (points for takedowns, etc). Unpushed guys like Bob Holly, the Godfather and Bart Gunn were involved in it. The idea was for Steve Williams to win it, to show that he was the toughest guy around. Unfortunately, they didn't have the sense to work Williams' matches, and Bart Gunn knocked him out in the second round. Gunn won the tournament and was promptly knocked out in his "prize," a match with Butterbean. Practically everyone got injured. Williams was never the same. Bart Gunn went to Japan and became famous for having knocked out Williams, who is a legend in Japan.
Guest razazteca Report post Posted May 12, 2002 Regal vs Hardcore Holly in the finals, the battle of the Enforcers, Raw vs Smackdown. I'll have Regal win it with the Power of the Punch.
Guest Risk Report post Posted May 12, 2002 I'm all for unscripted and non worked matches.
Guest Ash Ketchum Report post Posted May 12, 2002 I wanna see Triple H in it. He can fight Mike Tyson. Mike Tyson will bite The Game's head off. That'll end that.
Guest Report post Posted May 12, 2002 Personally, I thought the Brawl For All tournament was a farce. First of all, there was no brackets or match-up graphics shown to who was actually involved and who they would be facing if they did advance. Second of all, the tournament did more harm then good. Numerous wrestlers got injured, and never returned for a while after that, if at all. Wrestlers including Savio Vega, Bob Holly and Steve Williams all got banged up during the tournament. The winner, Bart Gunn went on to face Butterbean at Wrestlemania XV, and got KNOCKED the hell out. He was never seen after that. So...what did the whole idea accomplish anyways? Faint memories and a whole ton of mocking from jackasses like me. One good thing though, the Brawl For All had cool music.
Guest The Great Wesuke Report post Posted May 13, 2002 I dunno, I was a mark for the Brawl for All. Actually, Brawl for All was the probably the last time that I got so exceited I jumped out of my seat. This was when Bart Gunn knocked down Bradshaw the first time. I guess it was because I always root for the underdog, and nobody saw Gunn winning it. JR pumped Williams, Godfather and Bradshaw in every match against Gunn. In the end they turned that into an angle, but I remember just standing there yelling at my TV: "HA! Take that JR! You fat fuck!" Brawl for All owned. Guest Report post Posted May 13, 2002 I don't care who is in the tournament, just let me see Bart Gunn get decapitated again. That was the worst one punch beating I've ever seen, and the Philly crowds reaction was great -------------------- http://www.americasguest.cjb.net
Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Report post Posted May 13, 2002 That shit was nothing compared to Mike Tyson knocking out Michael Johnson in 39 seconds back in 1986. The guy couldn't land a punch on Tyson and even hit the ropes with one of his wild swings. Tyson dropped him with a shot to the ribs that might have broken some of the poor guy's ribs. The guy got up looking like he wanted t cry, so Tyson put him out of his misery with a right immediately after he got up. You had to see that fight.
Guest Report post Posted May 13, 2002 After Bart Gunn beat Steve Williams, didn't they wind up scripting all of his matches up to (but not including) the Butterbean match at Wrestlemania? I recall reading that, in order to protect Williams' image, they scripted all of Gunn's following bouts, so as not to make it look like that he (Williams) was beaten by some punk who just got lucky? Guest Risk Report post Posted May 13, 2002 Hm. Bart and Billy must have spent sometime together. Maybe Billy picked up some fighting skill for him. That's the ONLY reason I can think of on why HOSS~!shaw hasn't given him the "shower treatment."
Guest Risk Report post Posted May 13, 2002 Anyways, Toughman on FX is getting good ratings. Maybe Titan Sports could buy the Toughman stars and open up a Brawl For All league. Vince loves cornering the market on things. He even tried to fight the NFL.

No, all the other Brawl for All matches were legit, they were pushing for Bradshaw to beat Gunn in the finals... I'm pretty certain they wanted anyone but Gunn to win.
