Guest 4Life Posted May 12, 2002 Report Posted May 12, 2002 Check out this video of some Backyard Federation in England. This has to be considered illegal. If I was a parent of one of these kids, I'd go balistic on their ass.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted May 12, 2002 Report Posted May 12, 2002 I remember seeing a piece on CNN Headline News last week about a kid in New York who wanted to be a wrestler and so his mother built him a full scale wrestling ring. Only trouble was no one bothered to check the ordinances, and once neighbors complained about the possibility of it becoming a haven for youths to hang out in the pieceful town and start making a lot of noise and become violent, the town forced them to take the ring down. Aint that nice.
Guest Your Olympic Hero Posted May 12, 2002 Report Posted May 12, 2002 That was pretty toned down compared to some of the stuff I've seen.
Guest Posted May 17, 2002 Report Posted May 17, 2002 Yeah that wasn't too bad, some of the stuff I've seen before is absolutely vicious in comparison. This was a bit tame by standards but some of the moves were pretty alright. The high flying guy in particular could pull off some stuff but his running shooting star looked really dodgy, won't be surprised if he injures himself with it.
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Posted May 17, 2002 Report Posted May 17, 2002 I've done more vicious things in my earlier backyard wrestling years...no bloodshed, but we used chairs (the plastic folding chairs bought at K-Mart with the metal bars) a whole lot...everything looked like PURE shit, too...it was like Hogan and New Jack had a match... This is REALLY tame compared to the other stuff out there. The 50,000 or so feds called "Extreme Backyard Wrestling" and "Backyard Wrestling Federation" are more vicious than this... And I marked-out for the running Shooting Star Press...and the usage of Motörhead for the music...
Guest Redhawk Posted May 17, 2002 Report Posted May 17, 2002 That kid who took the sidewalk slam ... that looked very painful. Also, the kid who took the TKO ("Brocker Dropper") seemed to be in pain.
Guest Posted May 20, 2002 Report Posted May 20, 2002 and those German Suplexes weren't exactly Benoit grade. Ugh. Some of the moves actually were well done, but that's hardly a comfort.
Guest gthureson Posted May 20, 2002 Report Posted May 20, 2002 The skinny guy who seems to be the jobber bitch for all the power moves is gonna break his tailbone. Thats where he is taking most of them.
Guest Posted May 20, 2002 Report Posted May 20, 2002 Yeah a lot of the selling is being taken on the ass and nowhere near the back, one of them's going to crack his tailbone or worse hurt his spine from repeated use of that.
