Guest WildPegasusXXII Report post Posted May 13, 2002 speaking of Heat...am I the only one wondering why Eddie is defending the IC title on HEAT? Shouldnt the IC title be on a main show? Especially this close to a PPV where despite the backstory to his next encounter with RVD, I'm not feeling any reason for the match, especially since there's no stips as of yet. Guest evenflowDDT Report post Posted May 14, 2002 I don't mind Eddie defending the IC belt on HeAT so much as I mind him defending the IC belt on the OPENING MATCH of HeAT. Couldn't they have just put the Matt Hardy/Perfect match as the opener seeing as how Perfect got fired and it was a squash anyway. Plus, this belongs more in the WWE RAW folder where I'll post it after the show's over, but since there's talk of belts on RAW in this one... Flair + Hogan + Undisputed Title... and it's main-eventing the FIRST hour? I'm not a Hogan fan, and I actually flipped the channel and didn't watch the match, but... he still seems to be pretty over with a live crowd, and it's the UNDISPUTED TITLE for goodness' sake. Guest Report post Posted May 14, 2002 Regarding IC defenses on Heat, it's seemed to me that they've been trying to put together a group of Heat wrestlers, perhaps ones they feel can be easily marketed to the MTV audience: Eddy, RVD, Goldust, the Hardys, Raven, Justin Credible, and Tommy Dreamer have all been getting featured lately (and yes, so have Crash and Bossman, but bear with me...). Now, maybe it is just because they are, well, Heat wrestlers, but they also seem like they'd be better marketed to the MTV youth audience than the senior citizens and injury cases that make up most of the rest of the RAW roster...
