I was going to sit down and listen to this whole album and review it as I went along, but after making it to track 12, the themes of the songs seem to have become repetitive. I don't know what to say right now. I hope this album does well because I don't want him to come out with another album talking about the same stuff. Don't get me wrong, this album isn't bad, but it's not as good as I hoped it would be. He also seems to address kids ALOT. In his first album I didn't notice it happening alot and inhis second album, he acted as if he was the reluctant role-model for rebellious teenagers. In this album, it seems like he embraces that role, but it doesn't quite work that way. You can't embrace being something that you don't want to be.

You got it already how can I get one? But anyway always felt that if he stop focusing on getting shock value, and focus on lyricism he could be on the all-time list for hip hop. I like his single "without me"

I got it from a friend. It should be available on Audiogalaxy because I have it in my music folder (which is shared). I don't know if Eminem's music is banned or not, but it should be available if it's not. I don't know how you should search for it because when I was trying to download it from Kazaa, there were a lot of phony ones. I might do a song by song review since I have the titles of the songs now (I didn't last night). Right now my favorite song is Till I Collapse.

I just got the album a few minutes ago.  Its damn good but I have to say this.

 

I have song number 2 from this year on the "OH my fucking GAWD that is HOT!!!!" mix album.  Song one is ONe Mic and "Till I collapse" off this album is number two.  Its one of those songs that I can listen to over and over.

i think it is a pretty good cd.  eminem is starting to get a little repetative, and I was hoping that this CD would sounds a little more like his first CD and not so much like D12's.  ohh well.  without me a great first single but my favorite song on the album is number 12.

There are 3 or 4 songs on there that are dope enough to make the album worthwhile. But it's not as good as I thought.

 

I was hoping Eminem would have at least one verse ripping on Canibus, but he just seems to take the "Whatever, I sell more records than you" approach, which if you listened to his first album is a big change in him. Em's got rich, and he seems to have lost his fire. Now he just talks about his reputation, instead of doing stuff to solidify it.

Oh, come on. He is avoiding giving Canibus the attention he was trying to get by dissing em for no reason.  Eminem has never really devoted a verse to anyone short of ICP.  His diss songs are usually done on the underground(like all his diss songs to Everlast and the song to Durst and Lethal that later showed up on the D-12 album.)  

 

I can only find 1-2 songs I don't like, actually.  

 

BTW, am I the only one caught entirely off guard by him singin on Hailie's Song(which had a tight ass rap in the middle)

He was dissin Canibus calling him Can-I-Bitch, Canada-bus won't square dance with me but the Dirty Dozen wants to square dance with you. Some other disses like Dre dissing Jermaine Dupri saying that he didn't have to go multi platnum by using 12 year olds I thought that was funny. I liked this album but it isn't better than the first 2 albums theres not really a song on this album that stands as the best, but I give it 4 mics. Songs im feelin is Cleaning out my closet, Superman, and then he called out every emcee in til I Collapse for a battle.

I think it was a all around better album than the second one.

But that whole, "I sell more than you; shut up" response to battle raps has helped kill the whole concept. And say what you want about Biggie and 2Pac and all that, but there's nothing wrong with battle rapping. Besides, you  can't say that if Canibus had dissed Eminem in the "Slim Shady LP" days, Em wouldn't have come back with at least two verses for him. On another note, what is the song where Canibus disses Em anyway?

I think Em started that battle with Canibus in "Role Model" When he went im cancerous you wouldn't dare answer this/if responded battle back if you wrote for Canibus. Canibus got him back in "Stan Lives" On Canibus "C True Hollywood Stories" album basically str8 Em and Jay-Z disses which I find kinda weird (the album). Yea he did mention those names and ranked them but he did say he'll challenge any emcee.  So this is a full blown attack im launching at em, the track is on some battle rap who wants static/cuz I don't really that im Slim matters. A plaque and platinum status is wack if im not the baddest.

Well, I don't have the new CD, BUT...

 

I've just listened to 'Til I Collapse.. my god.  This is Eminem I like.  It sounds like he's just pure pissed and just fucking letting it flow.  Reminds me of his verse in D-12's "Fight Music".. the last one.

 

I'm a huge Eminem fan.. don't care about reviews or anything.. I'm getting this as soon as get the dough.

Another good thing about this album... D-12 was only horrible this time.  Not the usual nausia enducing, vomit odored garbage that they usually are...they were only horrible.  If I was grading on a curve for them, then these verses would be good.

Does the CD have a "I Still Don't Give A Fuck" (from Slim Shady LP) or a "Criminal" (from Marshall Mathers LP)-esque song near the end of the CD?  I read the lyrics and I only saw "My Dad's Gone Crazy", so I would guess no... if it doesn't it sucks because the last songs on Em's CDs are usually my favorites.

He actually is on some crazy shiot in that "My Dad's gone Crazy" song.  Plus he kicks a HOT verse at the end.  I say it belongs in the same catagory as Criminal and Still don't Give a fuck...the crazy lyric last song.

"Sing For The Moment" is the song that is done to "Dream On."  It's decent, and I like it, but not as much as "Girls" (from which I'm pretty much going to use lyrics from to tell off my entire high school class) "The Way I Am" (My favorite song, after "Enter Sandman") and "Fight Music".

from what i've heard, this album is going to be really....really good. my fav song so far is definatly 'business'. there's just a flow to these songs thats amazing.

I actually like this album more than his last one. It has a couple more tracks similar to "stan" in that he tells good stories as opposed to just talking shit constantly. The beats are pretty tight. I give it an A-/B+ grade.
