I was just watching the Roberts-Wells match, and Jake wrapped the Snake around him and shit, and he started coughing up white shit.  I've never seen that happen to a Damien victim before.  What happened?  Did he have a seizure?  What?

i doubt it was a seizure. what a local indy fed does when they encounter situations like this is the guy getting choked slips an alka seltzer into his mouth and when its done fomaing, it looks like spit.

welles might have just saved alot of spit during the match. who knows?

I don't know what the story behind that was but it looked pretty legit to me when I first saw it.  Once that snake was on Welles he was yacking whatever that shit was.  Maybe he had a fear of snakes.

Good point, but I don't think Alka-Seltzer would be gooey like that, would it?

Im sure he was just selling it really well by spitting. George Welles was actually a pretty good wrestler.

the first few mankind matches on wwf tv had his opponents coughing up the white shit (the same as welles) after the mandable claw,,i believe it was bart gun and bob holly

i tried it and alka seltzer gets foamy but mixed with enough spit, it gets runny.

I thought Welles showed some potential in the match.  That was the only appearence of his that I have seen in the WWF.

Welles was actually in the WWF well over a year. He was primaraly a jobber but did get a few wins here and there against Jimmy Jack Funk and such. I do remember a couple of other matches where in one, he and Tito Santana teamed up to beat Valentine and Beefcake on an old episode of All Star wrestling in early 1985. That was the first wrestling show I ever taped. Also in 1986 he has a match against Bret Hart at MSG. In those days the shows were aired live on the MSG network and in typical Gorilla Monsoon fashion he called that match "A main event in any arena around the world". After leaving the WWf Welles had some success in World Class as "Master G." George Welles.

Nah. I knew it by memory. Me and my friends always liked him for the stupidest reason. If you watch the match at WM2 he gives Jake Roberts a really nice power slam. We were obsessed with that. I know its retarded but i guess it made a good impression on us.

I thought he looked pretty good in that match.  He certainly held his own with Roberts, and he took that DDT Val Venis style right on the top of his head.  That's why I thought it was strange that I had never seen him again, because he seemed to have some talent.
