Guest Edwin MacPhisto Report post Posted May 13, 2002 Hello hello, everybody. If you’re reading this, I’m going to make the wild assumption that you’re a wrestling fan. You most likely watch, read, talk and write about wrestling so why not take the next step and join a fantasy-wrestling league? Maybe you have and were disappointed by the experience or the fed you were a part of folded after a few months like most do. Well if you’re interested in fantasy wrestling, then look no further than the Smarks Wrestling Federation (formerly the IGNWF) a wrestling e-fed that has been going strong now for 20 months! In the SWF you are given full control of your own character. Not only are you able to create the many facets of a completely original character, but you come up your own storylines with fellow SWF wrestlers and most importantly, write your own matches. Don't like how the WWF/E/Whatever does wrestling? Do it yourself. We raise workrate by typing faster. Success is based on your commitment to the fed and your skill as a writer. Make no mistake, the competition is high and you won’t win the world title within a week of joining, but you will meet some interesting people, make some friends and most likely have buckets of fun. Joining is simple. Just visit the SWF boards, which are found under the “Smarks Hosted Forums” heading on the Smarksboards. Find and read one of the several “SJL Joining Thread” posts and follow what they have to say. Before joining the SWF you will have to spend a few months honing you skills in the Smarks Junior League, a farm league similar the WWF’s Ohio Valley Wrestling. It has it’s own set of belts and shows and is the first step towards making it to the top of the mountain in the SWF! The SWF is always looking for new members, so if you like wrestling and can write, by all means sign up and get ready to have a good time! Interested? Click here: http://thesmartmarks.com/cgi-bin....;t=2017 Even if you're not interested in writing, I'd encourage you to come by and read some of the product we put out, on our shows Storm, Smarkdown, Metal, and Crimson. In my humblest opinion, we tell stories and matches that are a helluva lot more compelling than feuds over t-shirts and the wacky exploits of Reverend D-Von. Try it. You'll like it. Promise. Guest Ace309 Report post Posted May 13, 2002 I'd just like to second Edwin's post and say that the SJL has been a whole lot of fun for me. It's interesting to get to know other people in the league and write angles that interest you, and know that other people are out there reading them. I really enjoy it, and it's great when we get new guys out who are as passionate about good-quality wrestling and booking as everyone here at Vanilla Midget Central is. Guest Ash Ketchum Report post Posted May 13, 2002 Yep. i can agree with that... How many other feds have a big angry African-American thug from Maryland?
Guest ErekT2k Report post Posted May 14, 2002 And how many other federaions have Pokemon freak who calls Tampa the Pallet Town?
Guest Risk Report post Posted May 14, 2002 Wrong folder. This doesn't really belong in the WWE folder.
Guest chirs3 Report post Posted May 14, 2002 *duct tapes Risk's mouth shut* Quiet, you. Bumpage! Join the SWF!
Guest Insane Clown Dan Report post Posted May 14, 2002 Erm, sorry Risk. It don't belong here, but this is where we'd get the most attention. Plus, it's not like the smarks are gonna object to it, for, uhm, obvious reasons... Join the SWF and beat the shit out of tools, people! Like... get to fight for titles and shit. How many other feds have a porn star that's actually a hardkore austin/hall wannabe and likes to bash people open with barbwire-tipped kendo sticks?
Guest Risk Report post Posted May 14, 2002 Eh, seems like a double standard to me. No, wait, it IS double standard. The mods expect US to post in the right forum, but they don't have to? GLASS CEILING!
Guest cobainwasmurdered Report post Posted May 14, 2002 screw the SWF. everyone knows that the one and only anglesault thread is 10 times better! join today!
Guest evenflowDDT Report post Posted May 14, 2002 I agree. Though it may be a bit confusing at times, with booking that gives Vinnie Ru wet dreams, The One and Only Anglesault Thread is becoming more and more organized by the day, and while we may only have two shows a week, if you join OAOAT, you just might get to clean up after the PHATTEST VICTORY PARTIES for the greatest tag-team in the history of this business, the coolest, the richest, the In Crowd! Don't listen to those jack-asses in the crowd... they're just jealous. Jealous because we're better than them, and better than you.
Guest Beingz0wningj00 Report post Posted May 14, 2002 I originally came here to rip you guys a new asshole... but I'll be nice. We aren't here to diss OAOAT by any means. We are both on the Smarks, we all post on the boards... we respect you guys, although may not agree at all times. To be honest, this is a great fed, I've done it for a hella long time... each time I try to leave, I get drawn back. It's an addiction baby! All we are asking is you try it. You might like it... many have, mnyself including.
Guest Risk Report post Posted May 14, 2002 No one is dissing the SWF, except for the OAOAST boys, I just don't like you advertising in the WWE folder. Take it somewhere else.
Guest Report post Posted May 14, 2002 SWF is good fun, and stuff. But, although my SWF peers are shamelessly whoring, I'm sure they and others know of the rules of off-topic posting, and would abide by them in any other case. I think the post would have been just as effective in the General, No Holds Barred, or Fantasy Booking folders...but whatever. Either way, someone just pin it either here or there for a time, long enough to get the word out once again, like the last time the SWF Powers-That-Be did this. Once that time is up, the SWF thread should be taken down. I'm pretty low on the SWF scale and still reside in the SJL, so I'm not the last authority, but I felt like giving my thoughts. Guest Beingz0wningj00 Report post Posted May 14, 2002 We are advertising for something from thesmarks... which would be no bigger then saying a Scott Keith Raw rant is up. Or something. That is pretty much all for now.
Guest Risk Report post Posted May 14, 2002 Then go to the General Chat folder. This is the WWE folder, only WWE topics go here It doesn't belong here, bottom line.
Guest Ace309 Report post Posted May 14, 2002 Thanks for your input, Risk.
