Guest buffybeast Report post Posted May 13, 2002 WWE continues to see attendance for its shows drop at a somewhat serious rate. Many seats for RAW tonight in Toronto are still available. This is alarming considering that just two months ago, WWE was able to sell 70,000 tickets in Toronto. The promotion is rarely able to sell out house shows now, compared to last year when they had a sell out string across the country. It is expected that ticket sales will get even worse as the split continues to take effect. Smackdown has really been hurt due to The Rock and Hulk Hogan not appearing at shows, and Triple H also missing many shows. Credit: 1wrestling.com
Guest Brian Report post Posted May 13, 2002 Does anyone here remember attending house shows in the mid-nineties? But of course, doomsday predictions=hits for these sites.
Guest Report post Posted May 13, 2002 There is No reason whats so ever that Triple H should be missing these shows. Also, if it's in Hogan's contract that he only has to work a few shows per-month then he shouldn't be champion. Rock has a Ligit excuse.

Most if not all the shows were far from being sellouts. I liked it better then because I could get ringside tickets much easier than I can now. Anywho, the WWF is not going anywhere. I do, and they were sold out. Of course, they were in arenas that held only a couple of thousand.
Guest myburninghammer Report post Posted May 13, 2002 The idiocy in booking the house shows is mind boggling...why, if you're trying to build up a separate identity for the Smackdown program while ratings sink, would you keep your top stars away from fans? That's just so dumb, though not as dumb as the suits are put themselves into this position when they signed Hogan's deal, let Rocky leave at the same time as the split and bow to Triple H's massive schnoz. Actually, I'm impressed that Angle/Edge/Jericho can draw 4-5,000 people given their second-class treatment on TV; they should be thrilled with the numbers they're getting. Guest converge241 Report post Posted May 13, 2002 one of the local arenas in my area , the worcester centrum got between 2,000 and 3,500 total attendance (then minus the paid)..in the dark days of early 90s they would have house shows with around 1,500 in the same building... Guest papacita Report post Posted May 13, 2002 Personally, I liked it better in the mid-nineties because you when the guards weren't power tripping they'd let you go down and sit in some of the closer seats when you had bad tix. And as much as you all don't wanna admit it, you know that houseshow attendance will go through the roof as soon as Chyna makes her long-awaited comeback!
