Teenage prostitution

Recommended Posts

Guest converge241

so they are in the process of busting up andother New England Teenag Prostitution ring, and they bring out this expert who proceeds to blame teenage girls becoming prostitutes on "pimp-culture, the movies, televsion, and VIDEO GAMES"?

yeah im sure it has nothing to do with emotional shaping like abuse, etc.

Ive seen those scapegoats used before (high school shootings and the like) but this takes the cake

Am I the only one that has never been with a woman that saw a prostitute on TV and said "Wow, now thats what I want to do with my life!!"  There are alot of factors that usually lead to prostitution, but television and definatly drugs aren't any of them.

I'd say that drugs can definitely be a factor, especially for girls who get addicted and then need money to support the habit.  But video games?  Please.  I don't remember "Streetwalker 3" being the last mega-hit for the playstation or anything.

They are probably talking about Grand Theft Auto 3.

But still, I'm sure teenage prostitution has been going on for a very long time, even before edgy TV shows and video games were created.

Actually, it has existed since pretty much the beginning of civilization.

This is just more excuse-making by the left.  Anything they can say to shift blame away from a person and onto something nebulous like video games and rock music, they do it.  Personal responsibility is evil to people like that.  Maybe they need to consider that these girls ended up in their plights thru their own choices, actions, and lack of common sense and responsibility.  GTA3 isn't turning anyone into a whore.

"Actually, it has existed since pretty much the beginning of civilization."

And I'm sure liberal Neanderthals were blaming it on whatever the equivalent of video games was back then.

"Grog say Fishbone Tiddly-winks turn daughter into whore!"

Doc, serious props, that's funny stuff.

But, to be real honest, I'm real sick and tired of this liberal bullshit.  Here we have a problem, teenage prostitution, that comes hand in hand with some teenagers just being so damned horny they decide to make money off of it.

Second, where in TV, movies or video games is there a clearly teenaged prostitute?  This is pathetic.  Yeah, there's a problem in the world, throw it on the truck.  Yeah, there's a cause, put that in the "unknown" file.  Then what?  Do something about it.  Don't sit there and tell me that NHL Hitz 2002 promotes it.  Don't tell me GTA promotes it.  GTA is a bit over the top, but why the hell is there this stupid ass sticker on the front that says "Don't let kids play this f**king game"?!  Let's blame Final Fantasy for LSD and daydreaming, let's blame Parrapa the Rappa for marijuana use and hell, toss in ExciteBike from the NES to promote homosexuality and Donkey Kong for cruelness to animals.

Jeez, I can't stand political correctness...

Maury Povich is to blame for girls wanting to be prostitutes.  His whole show is about teenage whores, think about it they give the girls a free trip to the big city, a free make over, get to be the center of attention for the hour.  Then a mere 5 minute "don't be a whore" speech by a angry drill sergent wanna be, or tv psychologist, as a consequence.

Uh... TV doesn't exactly glorify teenage prostitution, it pretty much condemns it.  All the HBo shows I've seen depict it as a horrible profession littered with drug addicts and STD ridden women who get their teeth punched out of their mouths on a regular basis.

I blame the movie Pretty Woman, I think we should lock up both Richard Gear and Julia Roberts and charge them for causing all the teenage prostitution in the history of the world.  At least it will get a couple of these pathetic, bubble-headed, limo-Liberals of the streets and shut their fucking mouths for a change.

You, SG, that IS a good point. Outside of "Pretty Woman", I have a hard time thinking of anything that painted prostitution as anything but negative.

...And Julia isn't THAT hot---nor did she deserve "Best Actress" for "Erin Brockovich" --- okay, her breasts deserved some commendation for that film, but not her.

Its like how there aren't any stupid people anymore... everyonce has a "learning disorder".  It will be like George Carlin said that soon we will probably be hearing a rape victim be called a "unwilling sperm recipient".  People need to take responsibility.  Just because Momma didn't let you get your ears pierced until you were 13 doesn't mean she is to blame why you have a kid at 15.  Jesus I hate PC people... I hate hippies... I fucking hate almost everyone now-a-days.  Luckily I use my website to vent my believes (its in the signature... check it out if you want. I am looking for people to write rants on things that go on in the modern world.)

The APA gave something like that a shot in the '80s...
