Guest J*ingus Report post Posted May 13, 2002 I can't find where this originated, so take it with a grain of salt, but it's interesting nonetheless. "This afternoon Bill Goldberg was on our local sports radio show in North Florida, and he had a bunch of stuff to say, including that he has made a verbal agreement to wrestle for the NWA and should be signed soon if everything goes right. He said the WWF (he never said WWE) was respectful towards him in his recent negotiations, and Jim Ross was a class act. He said the WWF treated him great and despite past problems between the organization and him, he would love to wrestle for them one day, especially against The Rock, Austin, and Triple H, who he said even though he has had problems with him in the past, a Goldberg/HHH match would blow the roof off of the arena. Goldberg also mentioned that he would like to wrestle Hogan one more time if he ever got the chance. He said the NWA will be his best bet currently for him. He's trying to open a sports complex/bar in Atlanta by the end of 2003 and he has a lot of work to do and combined with the f! act that he hasn't wrestled in a while the lighter schedule than in the WWF will be just right for him. They asked him if the Goldberg/Hogan tandem entering the WWF would have been better than the Hogan/nWo, and he said yes it would have made more impact. They asked him if the NWA will succeed and he said yes, the weekly pay per view has never been done before, it's new. The NWA has tradition and new cutting edge stuff combined so it should be a winning combination and Goldberg praised the Jarretts as knowing the business better than most. They asked him who he is looking forward to wrestling and he said Jeff Jarrett, Ken Shamrock who he said he thinks is all but signed (he actually has been announced as officially signing), and Dan Severn who is the NWA champion. Jim and Rob thanked him for coming on the show and that was it."
Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted May 13, 2002 Severn is going to be a part of Jarrett's NWA? I just assumed Jeff was going to be champion
Guest treble charged Report post Posted May 14, 2002 Screw Goldberg, screw Severn, they've got Toby Keith, they're destined for greatness.
Guest RetroRob215 Report post Posted May 14, 2002 Well, at least he won't be showing up in the WWF.
Guest converge241 Report post Posted May 15, 2002 it would be good exposure if the NWA gets him and im sure he likes the slow schedule (work 1 or 2 matches every 2 weeks) Severn is a part and he will not be the champion
