Paul Stanley Posted March 24, 2005 Report Posted March 24, 2005 Is there anyway i can fix it? It was a little loose so i let my so called friend "guitar" expert tighten it up and he broke the fucker, wires and all, can guitar shops do it?
Red Hot Thumbtack In The Eye Posted March 24, 2005 Report Posted March 24, 2005 Easy fix for your local burnout who runs a general music equip shop.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted March 24, 2005 Report Posted March 24, 2005 Yeah, you can probably do this yourself if you have even the most basic knowledge in electronics. What kind of guitar do you have?
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted March 24, 2005 Report Posted March 24, 2005 "Most basic knowledge" meaning you can operate a screwdriver, needlenosed pliers, and electrical tape.
Paul Stanley Posted March 25, 2005 Author Report Posted March 25, 2005 Ibanez EX series, just got it a few weeks ago for my upcoming b-day. I had to "restore" it (clean it up, remove all those damn stickers, restring it, etc.) But now im going to fix this one and play my bass til then
Guest PlatinumBoy Posted March 25, 2005 Report Posted March 25, 2005 Also, the problem you described will be fixed for free at any Guitar Center. I'd rather let them do it than a friend.
Guest Quik Posted March 25, 2005 Report Posted March 25, 2005 Just solder the wires. It's not hard. Trust me. I installed a pickup with no knowledge, rewiring the input jack should be cake.
