Guest notJames Report post Posted May 14, 2002 They go through all the trouble of having D'lo come out to save Spike from a post-match besmirching from Regal last week, and they do nothing to follow it up. And Regal was right there in the middle of that whole Terri/Molly fiasco. Why couldn't they have just set something up between Regal and D'lo (non-title, perhaps), have Spike try to help out, get beat up some more, then Molly runs in to help her ex-beau or something, then she turns and hooks up with Regal? See, there's some continuity with Spike and Molly, D'lo's in the Euro mix, and best of all,NO TERRI. I don't know why I even bother...
Guest buffybeast Report post Posted May 14, 2002 D'lo worked the HEAT tapings last night. I think the company wants to push Molly and Regal's association further. I agree with you on Terri. She looks like a white Ethiopian.
Guest notJames Report post Posted May 14, 2002 I guess D'lo needs to get more ring time to work out the kinks and whatnot, but why have him start something with Regal if they're not going to follow it through for a long time? RAW's losing a lot or personnel to injuries and terminations. And the "main eventers" (nWo, Bradshaw) just aren't cutting it anymore. People need to be elevated and given TV time. I'm no supporter of pushing people too fast, and I sure as hell don't want to see more old-timers brought in, but we need bodies in the ring who can work, and a rusty D'lo is still 100x better than Justin Credible and Crash, who still get face time on every RAW. OK, I'll stop whining now...
Guest Report post Posted May 14, 2002 This was probably pointed out in the Raw thread (I don't have the urge to go through all those posts), but, as shitty as the match was and as bad as I felt for her for having to sell Terri's offense, I admired Molly's willingness to do that top rope rana all by herself. Guest Report post Posted May 14, 2002 I'm at a loss too. You'd think that after having the run in, they might want to... you know... follow it up?!? Even on Heat they recapped it a little, and hinted that we'd hear more about it on monday. But noooo. Instead, everywhere I look, I see Big Show. So much for the Euro title match at the PPV I predicted. I'm sure we'll be treated to Bradshaw vs. Bossman, or something else wildly entertaining instead. Guest Edwin MacPhisto Report post Posted May 14, 2002 Yeah, that was kind of bothersome. I was waiting for something to happen. Nothing happened. Ho-hum. Hell, they didn't do anything with RVD either. It would have been plenty easy to have D'Lo/RVD take on Regal/Eddy in a fairly standard "We fight at the PPV, rarr!" tag match, and even that would have been better than a one-minute squash of Planet Stasiak and barely audible commentary during the Terri/Molly match. Guest Ripper Report post Posted May 14, 2002 If Chris Jerhico and Molly didn't have my respect before, they do now. Within the last month, they've both had to wrestle themselves infront of a audience.
Guest Report post Posted May 14, 2002 If Chris Jerhico and Molly didn't have my respect before, they do now. Within the last month, they've both had to wrestle themselves infront of a audience. And Molly took it one step further. No one's going to mistake Terri as a wrestler, whereas Hogan can sorta pass for one. (That isn't a knock on Jericho, though.) Nora Greenwald is a goddess. Guest art_vandelay Report post Posted May 14, 2002 D'lo worked the HEAT tapings last night. Which will not be seen this week as Heat will air live at the site of Judgement Day.
Guest Report post Posted May 14, 2002 RAW is in such a sad state. They do almost nothing to hype belt feuds like D'lo vs Regal or RVD vs. Eddie. Those four have been wrasslin' on Heat more than RAW since the brand extension began. As for the rest of RAW, it's just a bunch of old, lumbering dinosaurs talking forever and riding motorcycles. I swear I couldn't tell the difference between Dinotopia and Hogan vs. Flair
