Guest Ripper Report post Posted May 14, 2002 I don't know how many people watched this show, but I watched it on and off. I liked the show enough but it came on saturdays so you know... But anyway, on the topic, did anyone else see the final show. I think that it was a little harsh of a way to end the show. It definately went against what the show's theme seemed to be(the strong woman figure standing up for herself and others). For those that don't know, and I don't think that this counts as a spoiler seeing as the show went off damn near 2 years ago, she got shot by a bunch of arrows, beheaded, it was alluded that naughty things were done to her beheaded body after she was dead. Her ghostly spirit was chained up by this samari spirt and flogged with a whip of fire until she kneeled down and vowed servitude to him. While yes, eventually she got to kill the spirit and it had a kinda decent ending, thats just not how you get rid of a main character in a 6 year old series. It is a person that fans of the show got to know and love. I hate when shows go for a shocking ending, thus robbing its fans of what they deserve after investing its feelings in the show for years. I think St. Elsewhere was another show that was very guilty of this.
