does anybody remember the horrible stable of

Alex Wright

Joe "desperado" gomez'

the renegade

and maybe Jim Powers (not sure on that guy)

 

the promoted them with videos for 2 weeks.

real homoerotic walking on the beach flexing, playing , laughing, and tried to push them as opposition to the dungeon of doom and 4 horsemen..then the debuted and got squahsed and were never heard from again..

 

does anybody remember this or know what the hell was going on with it?

I remember in June '96 Bischoff was promoting a Ric Flair/Arn Anderson tag team match against Renegade and Joe Gomez.  He kept hyping how great the team of Renegade and Gomez were.  They got their asses whipped by Arn and Flair and became JTTS.  But, I don't remember those videos.

I remember the videos.   It was almost like an American Males stable.  I believe that the idea was to cash in on the popularity of Baywatch, but no one bought into it.

I am picturing Joe Gomez trying to look sexy and it just doesn't work. He did not have the body to pull off Baywatch... though neither does David Hasselhoff really.
