Important to note that Earl Hebner was the referee for many of the matches and that Bruce Prichard and Tony Schiavone shared ring announcing duties for the tag matches. While it's true that the WWF had a stellar tag team division at the time, I think it's fair to say the NWA still had them beat in terms of numbers and - arguably - quality. I think it would be pretty cool to have a tournament of this size take place today, with teams from different promotions. Don't see it happening though.
