Guest Report post Posted May 15, 2002 Sources: Wrestling Observer Newsletter Many superstars backstage are anticipating what Vince McMahon will do and how he will handle the various talents who were involved in the place incident or any other problems that transpired on the memorable European tour. One man that McMahon has dealt with already is Michael P.S. Hayes. Apparently Hayes got an ear bashing from Vince, Stephanie and Jim Ross at RAW last week. The general feeling was that Hayes should of led by example and not instigated trouble in the way that he did. Many ex WCW superstars have gone on record as saying that they could not compare the madness of what transpired on the WWE European tour with some of the antics that took place in the WCW, a very troublesome place when it wasn't very prosperous. The NWA promotion recently approached the Ultimate Warrior and Randy Savage about joining the company. However, the Warrior was turned down promptly as he asked to have 15% ownership in the company. Armageddon, the WWE's December pay-per-view, will emanate from Fort Lauderdale, FL. I just wanted to call attention to the fourth paragraph about the Ultimate Warrior. Guest Report post Posted May 15, 2002 More news from wrestling news world: More news from Wrestling news world:Based on the success of "The Scorpion King", key Hollywood executives want The Rock to stop wrestling. The general consensus is they feel no one will take The Rock seriously due to the stereotypical attitude toward wrestling. Another reason, which is more prominent, is that as long as he wrestles, he is very hard to get movie insurance on since chances of him getting injured are much higher if he continues wrestling. There is said to be a major part that Rock could have, but wrestling is keeping him from it, largely due to the insurance situation. It's pretty clear that The Rock will have a very slim wrestling schedule in upcoming months. There are a few things on the positive side of him being a wrestler as pertains to his Hollywood career. For one, the WWE owns the name "The Rock", which is believed to be a much better marketing name for an action-star actor such as Rock. Another is a belief that a lot of the success from Scorpion King was from Rock's enormous fan-base from the WWE. All I have to say is, "Good Riddance!" Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted May 15, 2002 That Warrior one is funny. Only he would have a stupid ass demand like that.
Guest Ash Ketchum Report post Posted May 15, 2002 Warrior and Savage? Do they have enough $$$ to pull that off?
Guest oldschoolwrestling Report post Posted May 15, 2002 That Warrior one is funny. Only he would have a stupid ass demand like that. Randy Savage made the same demand to WWA back in February when he backed out of their ppv at the last minute.
Guest Ash Ketchum Report post Posted May 15, 2002 I remember that. And the WWA slammed the door in his face. But now after Spiderman... I'm surprised the WWE hasn't hunted him down
Guest oldschoolwrestling Report post Posted May 15, 2002 I remember that. And the WWA slammed the door in his face. But now after Spiderman... I'm surprised the WWE hasn't hunted him down I havent' seen the movie yet. Does he have a big part?
Guest Ash Ketchum Report post Posted May 15, 2002 Not really... But the WWE seems to be grabbing everyone from '90-'95 and giving them their last runs all at one, so why not the Macho Man?
Guest HartFan86 Report post Posted May 15, 2002 That's stupid guys like Savage and Warrior want percentages of companies to work in. I guess they realize that the only place they can do that shit is in the indies cause you don't see guys only joining the WWF if they get a percentage. Guest Smeghead Report post Posted May 15, 2002 Savage didn't have a huge role in the movie. His character Bonesaw beat a few people senseless in the ring, and then got his ass handed to him by Spiderman in a cage match. No trademark "Ooooooh yeeeeeeeeeah!" No Slim Jim references. I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up in the WWE soon. They have been hiring a lot of stars from years past. And I'm sure Savage can do a much better job in the ring than Hogan or Nash. Guest RetroRob215 Report post Posted May 15, 2002 One, I repeat, ONE final showdown between the Warrior and Savage in the NWA would have been cool, but I could live without it.
Guest Report post Posted May 15, 2002 If this 'TNA' doesn't become viable, Jerry might as well give 15% to Warrior and watch the hilarity ensue.
Guest Just call me Dan Report post Posted May 16, 2002 Savage STILL Rules Hulk does not.
Guest Report post Posted May 16, 2002 Savage is HUGE these days. He looked massive in Spider-man. If he'd just LOSE the hair and get a buzzcut, he would have a fresh new look (WITHOUT the baldspot) that I think fans would get behind.

Guest Just call me Dan Report post Posted May 16, 2002 Thanks. I agree Savage stiull has a young looking physique and face. He doesn't look like a rookie but he is no Flair or Hogan with his hair pulled back over the spot and his new ring attire. When he came back for that last run in WCW, I thought he lost 5 years. He still can bump and has some moves in his repertoire. I'd mark out like hell. But... He's the problem. WWE doesn't need him or Hogan or the nWo, it's all rehashed. The only way I'd like to see Savage brought in is a farewell tour just like Hogan's, with better matches. He'll probably be in the NWA though.

Does he have a big part? Hw has a few lines and is in for like five mins. He doesnt totally get his ass kicked.....it is kind of a band and forth fight until Spider-man finsihes him. Guest evenflowDDT Report post Posted May 16, 2002 The NWA promotion recently approached the Ultimate Warrior and Randy Savage about joining the company. However, the Warrior was turned down promptly as he asked to have 15% ownership in the company. I was just thinking how crazy/cool it would be if Ultimate Warrior was part owner of the company, AND they brought in Russo to book... I'd pay to see that! OK, not... actually, I really would! Guest saturnmark4life Report post Posted May 17, 2002 I really don't think you can accuse randy savage of looking young. He's still better than hulk but jeez...
