Guest alfdogg Posted May 16, 2002 Report Posted May 16, 2002 We got Atari when I was six (1988). I don't remember what all the games that I had were, but my favorite was Crystal Castles, I also liked Frogger, Hide & Seek, & Asteroids. We don't have it anymore, but I'd like to somehow get it again. I got the 8-bit NES about a year and a half later, and I currently have 24 games for it. My favorites at the time were any of the Mega Man games, as well as Mario 2 & 3. Not hatin' on the original, but those two were better. Never could figure Zelda 2 or Bart vs the Space Mutants out. SNES came in 1992. The favorites were & still are Mario All-Stars & Mario Kart. I currently have 25 games for it. I'm still looking for Pink goes to Hollywood, Mega Man 7, & Spanky's Quest. btw, is Mega Man Soccer easier on SNES, because I can't figure the damn thing out on the emulator. N64 i got in the summer of 1998. I bought it form my cousin, along with three games (Diddy Kong Racing, Top Gear Rally, & San Francisco Rush (I've sold it since then)) & two controllers for $100. I have 14 games. I'm still looking to sell Top Gear Rally. I play No Mercy a lot, but I also like Diddy Kong Racing, Mario Kart 64, Super Smash Bros., & Mario Party. I've broke 3 memory paks and 8 controllers from throwing them. I've been able to keep control better as it relates to that, though.

Guest Posted May 16, 2002 Report Posted May 16, 2002 Ahh, as a wee lad, I owned an Atari and an NES to start off with. Atari - I loved missile command. Asteroids. Galga and Galaxain were awesome too. Berzerker, that was one fuct up game! NES - definitely KUNG FU! Ghosts 'n' Goblins rocked as well! Pro Wrestling, Tag Team Wrestling, Tyson's Punch Out. Ahh, the memories. *tear* Finally, into my teen years, I got a Super NES. The Final Fantasy's were my favorites on that. All of the WWF games SUCKED ASS, even if they were fairly innovative with the use of theme music & digitized photographs. That's all, I think.. These days.. I had a stint with a used Sega Saturn. I paid about $50 bucks for it. Only wanted it so I could play Firepro: 6MS. My PSX is gathering dust, as is my N64. I'm just hooked on Resident Evil & Fifa 2002 for Gamecube these days. I'll probably end up being suckered into buying WMX8 when it gets released. It looks good enough... but lately I have issues with putting money in Vinnie Mac's pocket.
Guest Posted May 19, 2002 Report Posted May 19, 2002 It took me about 2 years to get an snes after it came out, I liked: Super Star Wars, Super Mario World, Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Super Metroid, and Zombies ate my Neighbors. I also liked Splatterhouse, Keith Courage, R-Type, and Impossimole for the TurboGraffix. I'm sure there's more.

Guest Cataclysm911 Posted May 20, 2002 Report Posted May 20, 2002 Well, when I was about 8 I would play any game, it didn't even matter, so most games listed I didn't even play until I was 9 or older. Guest ArkhamGlobe Posted May 21, 2002 Report Posted May 21, 2002 I have fond memories of playing Pro Wrestling on NES in local toy store when I was about six or seven. When I was eight, however, I got a Sega Master System and I have many fond memories of games I used to love on that console. They include: Cyborg Hunter Wonder Boy parts 1, 2 and 3 Rampage Kenseiden Spider-Man Dynamite Dux Rastan and many more... I also enjoyed playing the Mario games, Punch Out, Mega Man and more on the NES consoles some of my friends had. Later on I moved on up to a Sega Genesis (or Mega Drive, as it was known here in Sweden atleast, I think also the rest of Europe) and had much fun with that one too. Games include: Flashback Jungle Strike Batman Robocop vs the Terminator Streets of Rage 2 and 3 Road Rash 2 Dick Tracy Shining Force 2 Sword of Vermillion Buck Rogers and the Countdown to Doomsday NHL '95 (I think) Lately I've been using my brothers PS1 and PS2. I own all of three games for PS1 (WWF Attitude, SmackDown and SmackDown 2), and I've had many fun hours playing his copy of GTA 3.
Guest caboose Posted May 21, 2002 Report Posted May 21, 2002 Anyone Remember the Commodore Amiga? I had the 600 version and I lost a lifetime on that thing. It had quality games, including the originals of a lot of big franchises. Here is my favourites list: Grand Prix, Pushover, Putty, Cannon Fodder, Body Blows, Lotus 1,2 & 3, Wild Cup Soccer, Sensible Soccer, SuperFrog, Soccer Kid, Pugsy, Monkey Island 1 & 2, Jaguar XJ220, Bump & Burn, Lemmings(any edition), Worms, Space Hulk, Alien Breed, Championship Manager.
Guest saturnmark4life Posted May 26, 2002 Report Posted May 26, 2002 I was raised on sonic for genesis, and i still believe it to be the best game ever made. The music alone was pretty much the best music to ever come out of the 90s.

Wow, I used to love the Amiga 600. Superfrog was my favourite game. I can remember playing it for hours on end. Cant remember much, only that the first few levels you were outside and on the next world you were in a Castle. Classic platformer! Also Doodle Bug on the Amiga rocked, as well as Monkey Island 1 & 2!
