Candido Update

Recommended Posts

Chris Candido will be having (or already has had) a steel plate inserted in his ankle along with screws and pins. He had a complete dislocation of the ankle along with the breaks to his fibula and tibia. One doctor told Candido he could be back in the ring in six weeks, which means he could make it to the Hardcore Homecoming show in Philadelphia, PA but that sounds a little too good to be true. Hopefully he can make a full recovery as he's really dedicated himself to his comeback in recent months.

More on Dixie Carter's Lockdown pre-show speech to the wrestlers last night: Carter specifically shot down negative reports on the Internet about the company's health and well being, telling the wrestlers that Panda remained 100% loyal to the company and to not believe "doom and gloom" reports that stated otherwise. Frank Dickerson has taken over the roles of Chief Operating Officer and Chief Executive Officer. Carter also noted that the TNA PPVs could be seen in over 50 countries as a sign of company growth.

Im sure someone will come in and give the mandatory "I give it 2 months before it sinks" post.

And Chris Candido is gonna be back on the coca. Or get addicted to pain killers. A few weeks of not being able to walk around and have nothing to do but lines.

I don't know how much longer they can keep throwing money away, but it's pretty clear even Meltzer (while being right about how TV negotiations are going) has no idea how much longer Panda is willing to back TNA.

Has a company giving anything its pledge of support EVER ended up being a good thing?

seriously TNA will be dead shortly after RAW moves to USA and Spike doesn't pick TNA up.

It's truly a shame to think TNA could die. Theres no way any of the smaller guys like AJ Styles, Sabin, or Daniels would be allowed to perform to their potential in front of a bigger audience (WWE). You know they can't go out there and make Old-Man Taker look bad. TNA gave them a national stage to showcase their skills on. The best shot they would get would be on Velocity where it seems guys like London, Akio, and Nunzio are allowed to go balls-out, with little to no recognition, with the exception of London's current Cruiserweight tile run.

Come on Haws, you know no one cares about them getting a paycheck and showing the ass in the ring. Its all about getting Jarrett off of TV because he stole my 10 dollars for a shitty PPV.
