Guest Report post Posted May 16, 2002 As you all know from my rantings, I'm a Booker T mark to the heart from way back when and if any of you have seen anything the Bookerman has done recently there's a good chance you are too. From the Booker King movie review to the Lumberjack T, the man's stuff is very funny and at least entertaining. Good matches, good promos. Now with his recent joining with the nWo, people are worried that it all will be screwd up and will hurt T's character. Well, your right in a few ways. I mean, if they play eveything else the way they did when Booker joined (anti-climatic, he just went in surprised and faught then STILL lost in a basic 15 on Austin, job him dammit) it will definetly hurt. But... this is Booker's big push. As some people are thinking about this is how Booker will turn face, well, I agree. He'll turn face and aid in the taking out of the evil and utterly crappy nWo and then.... then he will be the next big face! You know back in '00 when Ausitn was out? They elevated guys like Angle, Jericho and Beniot up to the main event. Well now it's Booker T's turn. I'm bakcing on this being the thing to pull the ratings out of the whole and bring us back to a good era. History repeats itself. Booker kept WCW hot until if crashed and I think he can do it in WWE, but I'm not saying he can carry the whole thing on his back... which he will probably do anyways. What are your thoughts on this? This is Booker's time to shine and lead the WWE into another good era.

Guest Report post Posted May 16, 2002 Yeah hopefully he'll be getting his push, I mean after being looked upon as the poor man's Rock for so long as part of the Invason angle, I think finally he's starting to get rid of that stigma and I for one hope that guy succeeds. The guy gives so much in the ring and his promos and segments have been some of the high spots in this bleak spot of WWE programming. Only good can come of giving Booker more time to shine. Guest areacode212 Report post Posted May 16, 2002 If this IS their Master Plan to turn Booker face, this is a crappy way of going about it. I think that having multiple face/heel turns in a short period of time tends to weaken a character, rather than the other way around (see Angle, Kurt or Hart, Bret). I still think my Booker face turn idea from February is a better way to go, just change the names Hogan & Hall to Flair and Big Show, and something similar could have worked on Monday: http://thesmartmarks.com/cgi-bin....;t=1220
