Foo Fighters - Best of You

Recommended Posts

Here's the new Foo Fighters single from their upcoming 2-disc album.

I don't like it. I echo the sentiments of others who said things like "I can imagine this being in a Gatorade commercial" and "This song is Foo by Numbers".

"When someone comes up to you and asks which Led Zeppelin album they should buy, you should say Physical Graffiti," Dave tells NME. "And, in 20 years, when your kid comes up to you and asks which Foo Fighters album he or she should buy, I want you to say In Your Honor."

I disagree, I liked the song more than that. However, I do have much higher hopes for the rest of the album. After all, it IS a single.

..."Foo by Numbers" is a terrible, terrible expression.

1. All three eponymous albums, the untitled album, Houses of the Holy, and Physical Graffiti would be justified as recommendations to a first-time buyer,

2. No kid of mine, or any, is going to ask for advice on Foo Fighters albums.

I thought the Foo Fighters had been 'Foo by numbers' for a good while now. Grohl should keep drumming for other people, tho. I particularly enjoy his contribution to Killing Joke.
