Mitsuharu Misawa and Antonio Inoki made a deal saying that NOAH and New Japan would do a crossover feud and defend the IWGP and GHC Titles at each others shows. To save face, both groups agreed that the partnership would be 50/50 to avoid one company coming on top. Kentaro Shiga vs Shinya Makabe Shiga wins with a straitjacket DDT. Shinya Hashimoto comes to the ring and begins to degrade New Japan, he says they are weak and have entered into this deal because they are not strong enough to stay alive on their own. IWGP Champion Yugi Nagata hits the ring and attacks Hashimoto. Dan Devine vs Michael Modest. Devine wins with a choke sleeper.
