Guest Report post Posted May 17, 2002 The first week we got from Orton his Father's and Grandfather's old school moveset with addition to the Oklahoma rollup. then he added a few more moves, along with Full nelson Slam and a Super Hang time High Cross body from the top.... Now this week he somehow developes a Swinging Rocker Dropper? well well I guess they trying to make the kid interesting.
Guest Report post Posted May 17, 2002 Randy Orton looks like a modeling pussy. He needs to tough up.
Guest Report post Posted May 17, 2002 He just needs to get a lil bffer, but NOT so buff that he can't fly and move like he does. He's doing good. And I fear for the teeny screams girls will give him.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted May 17, 2002 Once again...who gives a shit what he looks like. How he does in the ring is what really matters.

Guest Report post Posted May 17, 2002 He's green, that's the only way to put it. He needs time, and they're pushing him way too hard. And let's face it, he can't cut a promo. Let's see, what else, he hass no high impact moves, no, he has no impact moves. His finisher is a rollup for chrissake. I'm sick of how they're feeding Lance Storm to him. Guest Report post Posted May 17, 2002 heh, I'm a guy, and dude, if you can't take an exaggerated compliment towards you from another male, you sir, have satanic issues . I'm pretty secure in my straightness to joke around, so nyeh. Anyway, Randy may be green, but aren't we all begging for them to push new people anyway? Give and take folks, give and take. Guest Your Olympic Hero Report post Posted May 17, 2002 Yes, push new people... Push: Lance Storm, Chavo Guerrero Jr. Don't Push: Mark Henry, Maven Orton would be better off jobbing to Storm and Holly in 8 minute matches on Jakked than pulling off bullshit upset wins on Smackdown. Guest RavishingRickRudo Report post Posted May 17, 2002 Why not just push Elix Skipper? He does the Play of the Day/Overdrive WAY better than orton. Plus, you know, he has talent...Oh wait...(he's black).
Guest Report post Posted May 17, 2002 bah... don't pull the race card so quickly. Besides, Elix was released along with others, who were WHITE~!, so chill. Randy has been working for a while on himself, and he at least deserevs to solidify his prescence before he moves into Jakked territory.
Guest Report post Posted May 17, 2002 LJ you should post more. You are not as here as much as you were on the old board......I miss you bro.
Guest Report post Posted May 17, 2002 =[ aww... that means alot coming from someone like you dude, even if it is online . I just lack motivation in a lot of things lately. WDI keeps me on though, sometimes.
Guest art_vandelay Report post Posted May 17, 2002 Orton supposedly had a sick-looking Wheelburrow suplex as a finisher in OVW. I guess he's keeping us waiting to debut it. And wasn't the Oklahoma Roll his father or grandfather's finisher? I thought that was a pretty neat way for him to gain his first victory.

Guest TheHulkster Report post Posted May 17, 2002 I dug that whole Savage/Snuka style hand raise before doing his big Cross Body Block. That should be his finish, it's a pretty spectacular looking move and most wrestlers could probably take it correctly (especially on Smackdown since the really big guys are all on Raw). Guest Report post Posted May 17, 2002 Well of course his moveset is expanding. He's a rookie. He's, like, you know, STILL LEARNING, and stuff. So, like, you know, he's picking up new moves and trying them out. I mean, its not like people start out learning the Tiger Driver '91, you know. And as for the overpush, no, I don't think it's an overpush. I don't like seeing them feed Storm to him either, but hey, I'm used to that. Vince always uses my favorites as job fodder for his favorite new big hoss of the week. They're just throwing him out there in a simple little feud that isn't too hard to follow so that the fans will be able to match his name to his face. It's not like they're trying to put a title belt on him or anything. As for promos, I've only heard one from him, prior to the match with Storm that Holly reffed. It wasn't mindblowingly good, but I thought it was all right, and good enough. I really don't think you can say a guy "can't cut a promo" just because his first and so far only promo wasn't on par with a Hamlet soliloquy. The Rock's (Rocky Miavia) first promo sucked ass too, you know... We've been screaming for something fresh and new. It's time we shut up and accept what we asked for. Guest nl5xsk1 Report post Posted May 17, 2002 Is there any reason why Orton is on TV and Sean O'Haire isn't? Or is it purely because Orton was never wcw's property? Orton seems much greener now than O'Haire was 12 months ago, so even if O'Haire hasn't progressed one iota, there's no other reason to keep him in Ohio while Orton is in the 'big leagues'. Guest Report post Posted May 17, 2002 I know what you mean about O'Haire he should really be on TV and coule be a very valuable commodity for several of the divisions, not least the tag one. I think it could be a lot to do with Undertaker since he's one of the main reasons O'Haire got sent down, Taker said his timing and skill in the ring wasn't up to scratch. In other words Taker used him as a scapegoat for one of his matches and O'Haire's been paying for it ever since. On the Orton front I reckon it's only natural for the guy to slowly bring in his moves, I mean if he had have used all the moves he knew on that first match it would have blown us away but then there would have been nothing he could do without learning new stuff. I think it's better this way that he's slowly expanding, he's making more of a good impression on me.
Guest Report post Posted May 17, 2002 I think the reason O'Haire still isn't back is because you know... ...he's still working on being a 'complete' wrestler and having to modify to the wwE style :-/
Guest Report post Posted May 18, 2002 I think the reason O'Haire still isn't back is because you know... ...he's still working on being a 'complete' wrestler and having to modify to the wwE style :-/ You mean where they ground you like they did to Crash Holly? I've noticed that. Even Benoit was modified when he came into the Fed. Now Benoit just does a hell of a lot of suplexes (not that I'm complaining) but in ECW and WCW and stuff he had a real stiff power bomb and a tombstone piledriver. It seems that the WWF doesn't understand that a small guy like Benoit can have power in his moveset.

They'll call him Samoan before they call him a black man. I'm not gonna accuse the WWF of burying someone because of his/her race, but I don't think Rock's the best example. Guest Report post Posted May 18, 2002 Randy Orton has been on SD a few weeks, now I think it's time to put him on Metal. They made him recognizable by having a few matches on SD, so they should let him develop further for a few months on Metal. Even better, next week is the debut of Velocity, so no more syndication tv. Then, when the time is right, put him on the big time again. I have nothing against him and he's much better than guys like Mark Henry and Test, but as someone stated he is very green. Guest Report post Posted May 18, 2002 What's green?
Guest Report post Posted May 18, 2002 Green means rookie-ish. Maven is another example of green, but he tries to act like he isn't by attempting to have charisma on the mic, which he doesn't. Actually, as far as mic skills go, Maven tries harder to sound good but Orton comes off better. I think it's because Orton recognizes his spot as a new-comer. Maven wants to pretend he is experienced.
Guest papacita Report post Posted May 18, 2002 What's green? Not black... bad joke. Anyway, what they mean by green is that he's fresh...new...more or less, a rookie.
Guest Report post Posted May 18, 2002 WWF errr WWE Is Nortorious for limiting wrestlers movesets molding them into what the WWE wants them to be Funaki for instance is a reasonably bad a## wrestler in japan. him and Taka could have busted out that KDx material but the WWE didn't want them too..and turned two former J Cup Contestants Into comedic jobbers Look over the old ECW Japanese tapes with current WWE wrestlers in it. you can see meaner more elaborate movesets... Al Snow in his match with Benoit at Double Tables used that Wheel barrow Snowplex, and Japanese Ocean Cyclone Plex. Taka at Cyberslam 99 Busted out that Inverted Brainbuster into a Michinoku Driver point being I think we all know that once Wrestling "Names" are signed with the WWE majority of their moves that made them so entertaining cuz it was different than what the WWE was putting out there is taken away... remolded into tamer verisions of themselves for example.. How many moves do you think Mystero will have left??? the Shoulder Spin Hurricarana? probably kiss that goodbye.. Even though he's on Raw Xpac will probably bit#h about him using a Bronco Buster. etc etc there is a reason we haven't seen Brock Lesnar's stunning shooting star press from the top to the center of the ring. Guest RavishingRickRudo Report post Posted May 18, 2002 Oh come on now, let's get all these giant sticks out of our collective asses. But you know, Hulk Hogan is darker than the Rock. Rock just looks tanned, not black as night.. Booker T, now there is a black man. And they pushed hi...oh wait... Ok ok ok, my bad... K kwi...no.. Mark Henry! See, they push the black man..Well, he had to become the 'worlds strongest man' first, but still! Vince loves the black man. So basically, all Elix Skipper has to do is become 'the worlds most bendiest man' and he could get hired by the Wwf. Randy Orton... Quite possibly the whitest man alive.. Next to Coach... I can't wait for the Wwf's ratings to really hit the floor, cause then they will be trying to get all the 'hardcores' to watch by actually letting their wrestlers...you know...WRESTLE.
