Guest El Satanico Report post Posted May 17, 2002 Eh Dark Angel wasn't that great anyway. It had it's good points but it has always been hit or miss episode wise. If Fox wants a sci fi show they should buy the rights to Farscape and stop making these weak half assed attempts of sci fi shows.
Guest Kinetic Report post Posted May 17, 2002 I'm just glad that "King of the Hill" is getting the slot after "The Simpsons," which is where it belongs anyway. Now I'll no longer be subject to even a few minutes of that overrated "Malcom in the Middle."

Guest Risk Report post Posted May 17, 2002 Boston Public really does suck. I hate all the forced beliefs, hypocrisy, and idiocy. Can't stand Bernie Mac and Cedric the (non) entertainer. Dark Angel was a rip-off of the Battle Angel anime anyways.
Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted May 17, 2002 Good: That 70's Show is staying. Bad: Titus is cancelled.
Guest RetroRob215 Report post Posted May 17, 2002 Good move with Futurama (not cancelling it) and moving King of the Hill. Bad moves with Greg the Bunny and every smarks favorite show Family Guy. Overall, 2002-2003 is going to be a rough year for FOX. I used to like Boston Public (season 1), but I haven't watched it in months.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted May 17, 2002 Well Futurama isn't really back on Fox because they chose to pick it back up. It's mainly still on Fox because the show has enough shows already made to last two more seasons.
Guest starvenger Report post Posted May 17, 2002 Firefly is taking Dark Angel's timeslot...it's by JOss Wedon, guy who made Buffy...so that might be good. Well, the story goes that they were gonna keep Dark Angel due to the Firefly pilot sucking. But then Whedon redid the pilot, the execs were happy, and they picked up Firefly and dropped DA, the rationale being that they only had the budget for one of the shows. Which raises the question: why are they sticking a costly show on a night where it's least likely to be watched?
Guest Report post Posted May 18, 2002 Fox is stupid. They cancel too many good shows. I'm mad that Greg The Bunny and Titus are cancelled. If only a petition could work to save these shows. Now that some good shows have been cancelled, I refuse to watch Fox. Even worse, Thursday night on Fox is movie night. Damn those idiots at Fox to hell. Guest JHawk Report post Posted May 18, 2002 They didn't actually bother to cancel anything that breaks my heart, but I only watch a handful of FOX shows to begin with. Personally I'd like to see them stick Malcom in the Middle in that Thursday time slot and see if the ratings are any good at all. My guess is that not only would nobody watch it but nobody would miss it either. Boston Public does have the benefit of a great time slot (is there anything else to watch on Monday night?) and it's one of the few shows I bother to watch anymore, but it's nowhere near season 1 quality. Guest RetroRob215 Report post Posted May 18, 2002 (is there anything else to watch on Monday night?) FEAR FACTOR~! On the 8:00-9:00 timeslot for Monday, CBS usually wins followed by NBC, then FOX, than WB if 7th Heavan is new.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted May 18, 2002 I'm mad that Greg The Bunny and Titus are cancelled. If only a petition could work to save these shows. Even worse, Thursday night on Fox is movie night. Damn those idiots at Fox to hell. Well the problem Greg the Bunny had was that it just wasn't a good show at this time. It had a good cast and had the potential to be good with some work but it simply wasn't a good show yet. Therefore can't blame Fox for cancelling it although it would've been nice if Fox let the show correct the problems and maybe get better writing for it. But most Networks rarely give shows the chance to improve even if the show has potential. I personally liked Titus but they did seem to be running out of material. However personally i'd been fine with nothing but scenes with Papa Titus as he was the main thing that kept me coming back to the show. Fox is running movies on thursday...what's the big deal. What would you rather they do on Thursdays? Any show that they'd put there would get totally destroyed by Survivor and Friends. Also while Smackdown doesn't get big ratings it attracts a large percentage of people who watch Fox. Sure you can complain and say that's time slots that could be used for shows i liked, but that would still be a death sentence to any show and those shows will still get cancelled. However with all that said it still pissed me off how Fox screwed Family Guy over many times. Fox never gave that show a real chance of surviving and gave it no chance to find a bigger audience. Between only getting on during the summer, never leaving it in a set schedule and giving it the death penalty at 8 on Thursdays Family Guy never had a chance to live long. All they had to do was put it on after Simpsons so they could've seen if the show could build up an audience. After a season or two Fox would've either had a smash hit or would've known that the show was a flop. If Family Guy never built up a big audeince while behind Simpsons for two seasons then i would understand Fox cancelling it and wouldn't have had a problem. Guest Ripper Report post Posted May 20, 2002 Jeebus, am I the only one that likes Malcom in the Middle. The Firefly show has what seems like a really dumb premise, but then again if you told me I would be the fan of a show about a vampire fighting blonde, I would have laughed at you. So I will trust in Joss and Mutant Enemy. I am pissed that Family Guy is gone...I am additionally pissed that there are no plans to release it on DVD in the states but the UK already has season 1 and season 2 is coming out soon. Bastards. Cedric with his own show...I don't know. Of course I wasn't sure about the bernie mac show, and I love it. Hope it does well.
