The floundering wwe tag title divison

thanks to the WWE split the WWE Tag titles have scraped the bottom of the barrel. with the belts only on Smackdown Billy and Chuck are thrown against  mish mash tag contenders that was thrown together..

 

So what would you do to save the Tag division?

 

Make the belts go to both shows???

 

 

Hire out more wrestlers or tag teams

 

develope new tag teams from existing roster members.

The problem lies in the who roster split idea. All champions should be allowed to be on both shows, not just the Undisputed and Women's champs. That way, no matter which teams are on what show, Chuck and Billy or whoever the tag champs are can get the belts some exposure. I mean what's the point of tag matches on RAW when the tag belts can't be won? If Chuck and Billy were allowed on both shows, they could/could have been feuding with the Hardys, Booker T and Goldust, Scott Hall and X-Pac, or whoever else is a team. Also, making some (good) new teams wouldn't hurt.

I think Billy and Chuck are good champs. Realistically, they're the only champs now. I'd suggest making the Tag titles on both shows. That would give teams on seperate shows a reason to wrestle (to get the "number one contenders" spot).

As for new teams...Test and Albert are both doing a whole bunch of nothing on the smackdown roster, they could always ressurect them. I have nothing against Al Snow/Maven, since Snow is rather entertaining. Christian is someone doing a whole ton of nothing too, maybe team him up with Lance Storm or Test or even Chavo.

On the Raw Roster, there isn't exactly a whole ton of talent to throw around. Plus I really can't think of anyone with a decent back story to get them down as a team. Maybe Saturn and someone? I actually have no clue what roster Saturn is on. Oh well.

The Tag Titles are essentially meaningless right now, with the only decent team in the Fed holding it...I really don't see things changing anytime soon.

With the Ambigiously Gay Duo of Billy and Chuck, the tag division is really starting to suck.  Anyways, I'd scrap the belts until the split is over.

Well the tag division was in this same condition before the split.

 

Well i've discussed this on several of these same topics so i'm not going into detail.

 

But what needs to be done is Vince takes two people and gives them the job of putting together some possible teams. Then send these people away armed with a full roster list, paper and a pen and give them a month or so to work on it.

 

Since this is the main job these two guys would study the roster and put together some guys that fit with each other. Then they can either figure out what gimmick these guys need or what reason they have for being together. Take Lance and Christian for example. This is an rather easy example.

 

Both can wrestle well. Both are heels that the fans love to watch lose. Both are Canadian and could play up on that without making it their gimmick. Christian can talk alot and Storm is the strong silent type.

 

That's the type of brainstorming that someone in WWeee has to do concerning the tag division.

 

The "lets pick a wrestler from this barrel and team him with the wrestler from that barrel and throw them on tv and hope they stick" mentality will do nothing to truly help and will usually just produce shitty teams.

They should just get rid of the belts all together. It just puts more of a burden on their overworked writing staff than they really need.

First) Make the champs on both shows

2) find ppl in the farm clubs with any sort of non-rival history and make a tag team out of them, same thing with wrestlers with similar gimmicks

c) 2 Words, Any 2 words...

4) Make Hardcore, IC, Cruiserweight, and North American Tag champs

Next) bring back the tag rope

Last) Shoot off fireworks whenever a tag is made

First off, as everybody's already said, let the shows be available on both shows.

 

Next, only use teams that make sense.  Snow and Maven.  Christian and Storm.  Have Rey Jr. team with Kidman when he finally comes in.

 

And sign some indy teams already!  Or bring them up from OVW and the HWA.  I'd love to see what the furor is about The Island Boys or The Disciples of Synn.

 

And whoever suggested five sets of tag team champions...I could have bought an IC tag title two years ago when they had some tag teams.  Now, no way in hell could that work.

Uh...that was a joke. I was about as serious when I said IC, Hardcore, Cruiserweight and NA champs as I was when I said shoot off Fireworks whenever a tag is made...Try saying the ref missed a tag THEN, Ross!
