Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted May 18, 2005 So, I've had this little problem with my comp for a bit. It has a decent amount of RAM (512 MB) running on an Intel Pentium 4 at 3GHz. I have Spybot S&D, AdAware SE, and Microsoft's AntiSpyware program, as well as HijackTHIS, and have been running them obsessively since the last incident I had. The incident happened to be that my audio/video skipped and slowed down immensely at times for seemingly no reason, and I couldn't figure out if it was a virus, trojan, or any kind of spyware, but it just always seemed to keep happening. Only thing that seemed to fix it was reformatting the hard drive and starting all over, which entailed me having to get all the drivers from Dell's website and was a tremendous pain in the ass transferring my files to my mom's computer and then back. I've checked all my speaker connections as well as the drivers, and they're all good. What could possibly be the problem, or are there any solutions I may not have tried?
