Guest RetroRob215 Report post Posted May 17, 2002 Here are my thoughts on the final night of Must See TV for the 2001-2002 season. If you have the shows on tape and haven't watched them yet, there are some spoilers here..... Friends- I missed the beginning, but I thought the episode was really funny, not as funny as Will & Grace though. The end with Joey finding the ring Ross was going to give Rachel was a little over the top I thought, but it should lead to a very interesting premiere in a few months. 7/10 Will & Grace- HILLARIOUS!! Will and Grace trying to concieve was classic TV. Karen going back and forth about forgetting Stan was also great because it showed that she really does have feelings. Jack seeing Cher in his dream was also good and him being in entertainment again should lead to some funny stuff. The 3-way cliffhanger ending was a great way to end the show, better than Friends, but not as good as ER. 8.5/10 ER- WOW! I expected very little here since Dr. Greene is now gone and he was my favorite character, but I was pleasently surprised. From 10:12 on the show kicked a ton of ass. The paitents trying to break out of the ER, the small pox beginning to spread to the staff, the stuff with Gant and Carter, Jerry leaking out news, Kerry being stuck outside working on a trauma, and lastly the end scene with Carter and Abby were all great. Now THAT is what ER is all about. Hopefully all of this good stuff carries over to season 9. 9.5/10 Hopefully the X-Files Series Finale is a perfect 10!! Guest pochorenella Report post Posted May 17, 2002 Hate to sound like a wuss, but I almost cried with that Friends season finale. Damn, I'm a grown man!!!
Guest TheDames7 Report post Posted May 17, 2002 24 is going to kick amazing amounts of ass. Buffy too. I don't know about Smallville because other than him learning a new power, I don't really see much room for storyline development, but I've been proved wrong before. With my pick to win Survivor, Sean, out of the running...I no longer care who wins, but I would like it to be Kathy simply because she's been put in a bad position throughout the show. Man....if only they hadn't gotten rid of the Robfather. Can't wait to see him on the reunion show stirring up shit again. My favorite Survivor player ever. Dames - Never Ends. Guest RetroRob215 Report post Posted May 17, 2002 I was able to contain myself during Friends...but not for last week's ER. The strange thing is that I hadn't cried for years, not for any real life or TV situtations. That must mean something, but I'm not quite sure what that something is. Guest Steve J. Rogers Report post Posted May 18, 2002 I don't know if it was me or not, but I got an errie feeling that the Friends finale was very reminisct, of the way they ended season 1. Maybe they planned it that way, but it was the complete opposite of what happened. Season 1's ender had Ross be told to get over feelings for Rachel, but when Rachel found out about Ross' feelings she waits for him to arrive from China, but the audience sees Ross and a girlfriend (Julie) come down the airplane ramp and the season ends with a waiting Rachel. Which sort of paraels what happened with the episode ending on an unknowing Ross about to walk in on Joey and Rachel. Steve
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted May 18, 2002 blah...i'm so glad that Friends is ending next year. I just hope that they don't pull what they pulled this year and announce mid season that the show will return for one last season.
Guest Hogan Made Wrestling Report post Posted May 18, 2002 ER's season finale was awesome, one of the best I've seen in a long time. I really wish they would have done a 2 hour one (hell, I could have watched 3 hours, but that's too out-there) and wrapped up the whole storyline in one episode. The drama of the episode will wear off waiting 4 months for it to start up again.
