10 minutes of Batman Begins footage

I also liked how Ra's would randomly appear in the batcave as if it was no big deal, just like Kramer barging into Jerry's apartment all the time.

Heh. Yeah, that was great. It really didn't seem like a big deal to Ra's.

I remember Ra's Al Ghul on the cartoons and the dude was the most boring guy on earth. His whole villain schtick consisted of standing by a volcano and calling Batman "detective."

He wasn't *that* bad, but he felt like Poison Ivy, except his rack happened to be on his daughter, his motivations weren't as clear, and he didn't have as many memorable episodes.

IMO, the most memorable episodes connected with Al Ghul barely had him in them, like Showdown (Jonah Hex's guest spot) and Off Balance (introduced Talia).

Even back when I was a kid I noticed the inconsistency of Ubu stopping Batman from entering first.

What happened to Christian Bale's accent, isn't the guy English?

Supposedly he decided to use his American accent in promotion, to avoid throwing people off with the fact that an American isn't playing Batman. However, It wouldn't surprise me if WB suggested it.

Welsh-born movie star CHRISTIAN BALE has ditched his British accent for interviews about new movie BATMAN BEGINS because fans want to hear the Caped Crusader sounding English.

The AMERICAN PSYCHO star is considered one of Hollywood's top dialect experts after switching from British to American characters in successive films with ease.

And Bale doesn't leave his accent skills on the set: "I just felt that when I'm not thinking about it I can hear that I get a slight Englishness coming into my accent.

"But I just feel that Batman is such an American character that in representing him in doing the interviews I don't want to be sounding English because that would be peculiar.

"I would expect people to be saying, 'What the hell is going on? Why do we have an English Batman?'"

Ra's is probably one of the better villains overall. I think part of the problem is that alot of us were raised on TAS, which was great but limited. I mean, the concept of a villain who is a genius, has access to pits that not only bring you back to life but could make you temporarily insane, is the head of a lague of assassins, has a hot daughter, and is obsessed with making our hero his successor and heir . . . there's potential there.

And scarecrow has tons of potential if handled well.

Yeah, but TAS did almost everything else fabulously, so it's a minor gripe. They even made the Clock King a fun bad guy, for cryin' out loud. :)

Don't get me wrong - TAS was fabulous. Ra's just never got fleshed out much. And yes: Clock King ruled in TAS. So did Mad Hatter.
