JustJoe2k5 0 Report post Posted May 31, 2005 I think they should start the show with a well-produced highlight video which shows all of the major events or matches that have happened in he companies' history. Throughout the show have video packages highlighting the history of the World, Tag Team, and X-Division titles, and have all three titles defended on the first show. Have atleast one type of match that isn't your everyday match, whether it be an Ultimate X match or a X-Division battle royal. They need to show the fans that they are a true alternative to WWE. The biggest thing I believe they need to do is get rid of the six-sided ring, it just doesn't add anything to the product and even takes away from great matches. Think back to the first few years of TNA's existance when they would have a really good match about every other week, since they have added the six-sided ring I cannot think of one standout match that didn't have an added gimmick. zyn081 0 Report post Posted May 31, 2005 (edited) Dimensions Posted on May 28 2005, 05:36 PMTNA should have its own set of MEters consisting of AJ, Daniels, Abyss, Monty and the Truth. I think TNA should get there a new secondary title, North American title or something. I think Jeff should be all over that one. But you know, if they insist on using a recognized face as head Champion then it should DDP or Nash. Now, don't get me wrong, I rather they not have it cause their time has gone but DDP and Nash just seem like MEters. I dont know why but DDP has never seemed ME to me. It just didnt feel right to see him with the ME title of any company. And hasnt he left? Nash? Nash? Please, Nash is the death of any company that he works for. Hes most probably the greatest slumper of all time. And I know hes up to it, but why is it always Nash and not Hall. I always found a in form Hall more entertaining. Hall has always been one of my favorite wrestler's of all time and I would take him over Jarrett if he was clean and sober. Hall isn't reliable though even if he is entertaining when he is there. A lot of marks, like Nash and I am personally not a big fan of his but he does have a ME aura that Jarret doesn't have. I think since I didn't see DDP rise up the ranks and only saw him spittin out "2 time, 2 time, WCW Champion" speeches made him seem to be like a cool ME guy. I believe he did leave. Those are just examples though of some of the guys TNA could bring back if they wanted. I rather they just start fresh and water down the Jarret influence but if they insist on pushing a familiar face, I think others would fit better than Jarret. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> My apologies if I came across as sounding direspectful. I didnt mean to. Nash has the aura of ME because of his size. Id take DDP over him any day. Id take Raven, Douglas and Lynn over both of them any day. DDP never convinced me of being a credible ME, just like JJ. Nash bores me to death trying to look o so nasty. Ha. I didn't realize that when I posted my thoughts. My bad, I guess. Besides, the idea of having a Tag Title match at 9:00, and then letting Christopher Daniels RULE THE MAIN EVENT at the end of the show is much better. Bring back the Fallen Angel gimmick as well, the early one where he's out to "save souls" (if it doesn't offend Sting, that is). I also like the idea about the Championship Committee. I don't think they should be seen every show in the office like a GM, but one of them should show up whenever some decision needs to be made. Personally, I'm in favor of (NWA) legends, as it plays off the NWA name. At any point and time, you could have Funk, Briscoe, Race, Anderson, Zbysko, Armstrong, Rhodes, Valentine, or God knows what other legend show up to make an announcement on behalf of the Committee. That's what I'd do, at least. The mention of all these legends got me thinking about Sting. I always thought that TNA's biggest mistake ever was not doing everything possible to sign the Stinger. There could be no excuse for not bending over backwards to sign Steve Borden to a contract. He's the biggest star to never be WWE, and its asinine to ignore him while booking Nash, Hall, and DDP as "big names". I think under this newer, smarter regime, TNA needs to think about getting Sting. He can still work, and I've never heard of him not putting others over because of ego. TNA: if you are wise, you will SIGN STING. I also think the same thing goes for Terry Funk, but that's another rant. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Sting doesn't want to wrestle full-time for TNA, and I don't think he's that keen on working for the Jarrett's anymore as it is. He only wrestled for them because he felt he owed Jerry Jarrett something over helping him start in the business, and once Sting wrestled enough times to 'pay off his debt', he felt that was enough, and he's rebuffed any attempts made since to get him back. That's what I meant by bending over backwards. If signing Sting to TNA means getting rid of the Jarretts THEN SO BE IT!!! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I don't think getting rid of the Jarrett's would work. If Sting was that keen to work, he would have done so, with or without the Jarrett's. If getting rid of the Jarrett's was a dealbreaker, Sting hasn't made mention of it. And even Sting did come on board, it's questionable what effect he'd really have. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Regarding Sting, Id love to see him simply as Steve Borden on the Championship Committee with Race, Valentine, Anderson and Briscoe. I think it would be cool to see Steve Borden just come out. People will be like Steve who? But I think hes one of the most genuine people in the business and that will only add credibility to TNA. I would never rule out him returning. Why does everbody make a fuss about Zbysko. I am just glad to seen Rhodes gone and Funk lost my respect when he retired for the 10, 000 time and takes part in garbage match type brawls.
