Austin, Jericho, HHH, Hogan. All of them RARELY ever wear the belt around their waist. OR is it just me seeing things?

In HHH's defense, he does wear the title's to the ring for his defenses.  When he had both titles after WM, he always wore the WWF title around his waist....he probably didnt care for the WCW title at all.

Jericho just had a really damn cool way of carrying them, so I was fine with that.

Angle always wore the title when he had it.

Austin to my knowledge hasn't EVER worn it.  He always just lets it drag on the ground.

I've never been a big fan of the dragging the title belt thing. Diesel was the one who first made that popular.

I agree....If it means something to you, would you let it just drag on the floor?  Shit, I wouldn't do that to a piece of clothing of mine let alone a title that I worked my ass off wrestling to win, you know.

Well Hogan doesn't wear it around his waist so he can play the air guitar.

Jericho had the two belts, so it looked better with both belts on each arm.

Triple-H is too damn intense to wear the belt.

SCSA doesn't have it around his waist because that would be out of his character. A man who does give a shit about anything, but he wears the title around his waist?

Have you noticed that the guys who wear it around their waist take more care of the belt, and don't just toss it into the ring?

Hogan's only played air guitar with it once since winning it actually.

Thats the thing about SCSA....the only thing he does care about is winning the title...so you figure that he'd care for it, you know?  I mean, dammit, he said it was his drug of choice....I don't know any addicts who don't treat their drugs like its their most valuable possession.

Well, Austin does lay it on his shoulder at times, but throwing it around and dragging it does get annoying.

I read in an interview with Vince McMahon at one stage where he actually addressed that exact question...

McMahon stated that wrestlers like the Rock, Steve Austin & Chris Jericho wear the belt over their shoulders as it has a more 'new-age' and 'hip' feel to it, as opposed to old school days where the champ ALWAYS wore it around his waist.

This has been the Taker Mark™

( Not hip enough to wear the title over his shoulder )

Yeah Austin's way looks pretty bad and doesn't do anything for the belt. It just looks like he's picked it up right before going out there and hasn't been bothered to put it on.

Jericho's looked perfect considering he had two and it did justice to both belts very well.

HHH always wears it to the ring and then when he's not wrestling he has it over the shoulder. When he won the two belts though he used to sling them both over one shoulder and the WCW one was always on the bottom.

Angle was your typical old school champion who always had it around the waist.

Speaking of which I wonder what they did with the WCW and WWF title belts. Anybody know?

Usually the last wrestler to hold the belt keeps it..

I know Hulk Hogan has the WCW title belt he walked out of the building with at Bash at the Beach 2000 and Madusa has the old WWF Women's title belt ( The one she threw in the trash can on Monday Nitro ).

So i guess Trippers has both belts, unless he gave them to someone or left them to the WWF...or WWE...or...oh FUCK YOU PANDAS

I'm sure Vince has both belts so they can become Axxcess(however they spell it) Attractions next year at WM.

Hogan has a version of the WCW title belt... not the original "big gold" belt that Flair had made for him.

I'm pretty sure Madusa didn't get to keep the WWF women's title. That title was property of the WWF and did not belong to her outside of her being billed as the champion. I read somewhere where the wcw sent it back to the WWF afterwards

I guess he addicted to being Champ, not walking around with the symbol of being the champ?  Just the 'rank' of world champ.

It must be personal preference for the title holders to carry the belt or not.  Has anyone else noticed that all the other champions (IC, Hardcore, Tag, Euro) almost always have the belts with them??

Just a quick question on the Flair belt...didn't he sell it to WCW or some shit? I thought I read that Flair had posted a bond for it, and then gave the belt back when they paid him back the bond. So, my question is, who actually owns it? -JM

Well, Flair sold it to WCW when the WWF got sued by both them and the NWA, WCW gets the belt back and phases it out for the new belt they had made after Flair left, brought it back when they gave the second World Title belt to Hogan at BATB 2000, and as far as I know, Booker was the last guy to hold it so maybe he has it or it became WWF property after Vince bought WCW last year.
