Lucas is getting old, but do you think he would allow someone to take over the franchise and make Shadows of the Empire, etc. Into additions to these 6 episodes? Guest Report post Posted June 5, 2002 Lucas just recently said in an interview that Episode III is his final Star Wars movie. He doesn't want someone else to take it over because Star Wars is his creation. When you think Star Wars you think George Lucas. He also said that by the time he wrote the scripts, cast the new characters, made the special effects, and hyped he would be like 68. Besides, he said, the whole point of the Star Wars saga is the rise and fall then rise again of good.
