Guest Posted May 18, 2002 Report Posted May 18, 2002 How do you tell if a wrestler is green? I know green means a rookie but how can you tell he is actually green? Are all rookies consider green or are some not green?
Guest Mark4steamboat Posted May 19, 2002 Report Posted May 19, 2002 well if a wrestler has trouble during an interview, he is probably green. otherwise, when a wrestler is established as a "star" or just more recognizable and you watch a video of an older match by the same person, if he is any different(in a bad way), than he was green at that point.
Guest AlwaysPissedOff Posted May 19, 2002 Report Posted May 19, 2002 Like Mark said, when they have trouble during interviews(although that could happen with established vets too), when they seem to look lost and don't know what to do when they are controlling a portion of the match(Angle was a textbook case in the last 2 years, just watch the Rock match at No Way Out), and when they stall WAY too much(although there ARE vets that are guilty of this too).
Guest Mark4steamboat Posted May 19, 2002 Report Posted May 19, 2002 Angle's match is a good example but its also a bad one. Hebner messed up during the match and Rock yelled at him. That was funny. and my favorit epart of all, angle yelling at the rock "TAP OR I BREAK YOUR FUCKING ANKLE ROCK" right on camera.
Guest AlwaysPissedOff Posted May 19, 2002 Report Posted May 19, 2002 I know, what the fuck was Earl on that night anyway? And that's not even the first time he's spectacularly blown the ending to a match before. I would have paid good money to see Rock break character for a second and bitchslap him for screwing up. That would have been hilariously funny. Angle's lil boo was awesome. I was watching it at Hooters and the entire place just started laughing their asses off.
Guest Mark4steamboat Posted May 19, 2002 Report Posted May 19, 2002 I remember watching it with my mom and best friend and we died laughing. Angle wrote about that match in his book. Jr and Heyman?(might have been lawler) did a fine job in acting like nothing had happen with Hebner.
Guest Posted May 21, 2002 Report Posted May 21, 2002 Angle's little boo? Hebner's fuckup? I only saw the match once, and I remember neither of these. Can anyone elaborate? Please? =) BTW Mark4Steamboat I think it was the day after No Way Out that Lawler quit.
Guest Dace59 Posted May 21, 2002 Report Posted May 21, 2002 Hebner's fuck upm was that he thought Angle was gonna kick out of the Rock Bottom.. so he stopped at two. They had to re do the end spot.
Guest AlwaysPissedOff Posted May 21, 2002 Report Posted May 21, 2002 And Kurt's boo boo was dropping the dreaded F-bomb when he had Rock in the anklelock right in front of the camera's mic.
Guest dreamer420 Posted May 22, 2002 Report Posted May 22, 2002 almost every wrestler drops that evil fuck word while in the ring. watch austin and if you can read lips you'll laugh your ass off.
Guest Mark4steamboat Posted May 22, 2002 Report Posted May 22, 2002 reading UT is getting funny now too especially when he has the glazed over/hung over/ recently smoked weed look on his face.
Guest alfdogg Posted May 27, 2002 Report Posted May 27, 2002 Jericho did it at Vengeance too against Austin. He was chopping him in the corner and all of a sudden said "Fuck you Austin!"
Guest RetroRob215 Posted May 27, 2002 Report Posted May 27, 2002 It was Lawler and JR. It was also Lawler's last PPV before his sabbatical.
Guest dreamer420 Posted May 27, 2002 Report Posted May 27, 2002 Jericho did it at Vengeance too against Austin. He was chopping him in the corner and all of a sudden said "Fuck you Austin!" Shane Douglas does this to Ric Flair while chopping him in the corner. He gave Flair a chop and then yells FUCK YOU FLAIR! right into the camera.
