Picks? Comments? Thoughts?

I'm calling for Mickelson to win, beating Furyk down the stretch.

Before we really get going, did anyone see coverage of the Booz Allen Classic on Sunday?

Garcia's currently has the lead, and it's pretty well his to win, but what really intrigued me was the incident with Rory Sabbatini and Ben Crane. I missed most of Sunday's coverage, but I guess Sabbitini was booed by crowds at some points, and I did see him visibly refuse a handshake and say 'No fucking way'. Anyone fill me in on what I missed?

Credit ESPN.com:

Crane was involved in a controversial finish with playing partner Rory Sabbatini after both were warned for slow play on the back nine. An obviously unhappy Sabbatini putted out of turn on the 17th green and was booed as he marched to the 18th tee before Crane finished out.

At the 18th, Sabbatini was again booed by the gallery as he approached the green. Crane wasn't perturbed, sinking a 50-foot birdie putt to finish his round. The two exchanged a weak handshake as Sabbatini stormed toward the clubhouse.

"Rory's a fast player, and I'm a slow player, so the only reason we're on the clock is because of me," Crane said. "Is Rory out of line? No, not really. I'm the one who got us on the clock. I understand how he feels. Can that change it? No. I need to work on picking it up, but I obviously don't want to hit the shot before I'm ready."

Sounds pretty shitty on Sabbatini's part.

As for the US Open. I think Tiger will put it together. He has been playing better as of late. I will also be pulling for Phil Mickelson. Honestly there are probably 10 guys tht could win this tournament. Sounds as though it wont be the typical US OPEN 6 inch rough. They will be setting it up so that players can challenge the greens but Pinehurst has some severely protected greens and they want guys to fire at those pins. Which will actually require precission shot making or bring 5's 6's and 7's into play.

I am very much looking forward to this years event.
