Only The Strong Survive 0 Report post Posted July 13, 2005 I am in the mood to get some kind of music/ rhythm game, but alas, I don't have a Gamecube so I'm unable to buy/ play the excellent Donkey Konga. From what I understand, Taiko Drum Master for PlayStation 2 is similar to Donkey Konga. Has anyone here played it and can tell me if this is an accurate description? Is the game good and worth a buy? Thanks.
devo 0 Report post Posted July 13, 2005 It's similar, yes. The gameplay is basically the same, but instead of using your hands, you use two plastic sticks to bang the face and the side of the drum. I've owned the original Japanese version (Taiko no Tatsujin), which was really fun. I didn't buy the American because the songlist looked awful, save for Katamari on the Rocks. If you see the songlist for yourself and think it's pretty good, go ahead and give it a try.
Renegade 0 Report post Posted July 13, 2005 I've got the US version and one of the Jpn mixes. Remeber that the drums are very noisy so if you live in an appartment you are going to piss off some people by playing at the wrong times.
