Guest Crazy Dan Posted May 22, 2002 Report Posted May 22, 2002 Are you kidding me? I mean I haven't really enjoyed Mettalica's newer stuff, I still love their first four albums. They put on an amazing show, and make great music, which kicks some ass, well not as much as in the past, but such is life. Slipknot is ehh, I don't like their message, some of their lyrics are just plain wrong. "I want to slit your throut and fuck the gash" or something like this. I don't like what their message is and I think that they will be just a footnote i n music history, if that.
Guest Posted May 26, 2002 Report Posted May 26, 2002 Kind of a hard choice for me actually. On one hand, Metallica hasn't had a good album since ...And Justice For All. EVERYTHING since that has just been a trainwreck of shit and more shit. Then you have Slipknot who occasionaly have a decent idea for a song or decent structuring...then ruin it by going " Fuck! FUCKER! I'M SO FUCKING ANGRY! FUCKKKKKKKKARRRRRRRRRRRRG *unintelligable gurgling noises* But in the end, Metallica's old work still gives them the victory. Okay maybe the choice really wasn't that hard. On a sidenote, I shall be joining Slipknot as the guy in the kitty cat mask playing the bongos. I hope you enjoy.
