Honestly....

It all depends on the ratings

If the Raw tonight (especially the overrun) drew a big number...

They may have to put RVD vs. Taker in the Main Event at KOTR.

If it didn't...HHH will face Taker.

And to be fair...if it didn't...then RVD shouldn't get to main event.

also...see my topic about old blood vs. new blood at KOTR.

HHH vs. Edge

Austin vs. Eddy

Taker vs. RVD?

I'd order.

That line up sounds good to me and it is certainly different from what we've been getting.

If you're following the logical gameplan, Smackdown has dibs on the next challenger, i.e. Triple H.

If you're following the logical gameplan of the backstage politics, Triple H also gets the nod.

If you're following Undertaker's past history with elevating talent,  Taker will squash every up and comer before finally jobbing the title to HHH.

If you're thinking they'll pick the next contender by ratings, then you're obviously not watching WWE wrestling.

All roads lead to HHH.

(Sorry... just wanted to see what life was like on the other side of the "I Hate Triple H" fence...)  ;)

I don't know about that anymore...WWeee seems to be finally seeing that they must start trying new stuff and pushing more people. If it was the same old WWeee then HHH would've somehow gotten around the suspension thing and appeared on Raw "tormenting" Undertaker.

Oh i'm certian that HHH is still going to be involved in the upper level fueds. But for some reason i get the feeling that Vince is realizing he needs change and will give guys other then HHH a chance.

But of course by next week we'll be back to Undertaker vs. HHH and Austin vs. Flair with Eddy backing Ric and thee changes will become a myth.

I always did this whenever WCW had a good Nitro during their last 2 years. Always thought it meant WCW was making the changes they needed to make and was starting to turn the show around. However until the last 2 or 3 months of WCW it was always false hope and they returned to the same old shit a week or two later.

So in closing...We shall see how serious Vince is about making changes over the course of the next few weeks.

I dunno.  I bet RAW has suck ass ratings and they'll probably blame it on RVD although if it were me, I'd blame it on the Hardy's who had two rather pointless and pathetic matches.  Blame the Hardy's I say..

I agree to a extent of the logical split back and forth forumla

in the begining was HHH then Hogan was picked cuz of his Smackdown for Backlash the Number one contender coming out of Raw...then Judgement day the Champion becomes Taker of the Raw brand so it would be fitting that the number one contender come out of Smackdown and be HHH since there is the unfinished business there...

A HHH Edge feud is way too premature at this point to predict espically since they only met in a tag team format last Thursday and only had that friction just to make the match interesting.  Edge and HHH would make a interesting Number one contendership match on the shows but I doubt PPV.... at least not yet...

Alot of people seem to be weeping about RVD not getting the title on Raw DAWWWWWW poor you. RVD and Taker had their first match at Armageddon which got  Taker the win and the Hardcore title...there is Presidence for RVD to take on Taker at a PPV level event even Main Event  and there would be grounds to give him the win. But when was the last time you saw RVD in any match above first card matchup at a PPV?

Hell the last time you saw him in a Main Event at all? Back in the alliance age...and before that ECW...  I believe that there maybe some chance that they build the angle of RVD vs Taker.. For the title... I could see it come out in different angles over time though...

Ric Flair showing more Favoritism to Taker so he doesn't let RVD get a title shot at the PPV..but forces RVD to face like HHH for the Number one contendership, and since Vince and Ric are appearing friendly in storyline now  that isn't too farfetched... Neither Vince or Flair would be so gung ho to get a Number one Contender on their show, since both owners are Heels and the Champion is Heel and allied with both  more or less.  We could see though  RVD vs HHH at KOTR  and then the winner of the match Faces Taker RIGHT after their match... to bring out that screwjob atmosphere we grown to expect.

If Taker drops the belt to RVD it would be a step in the right direction to show the WWE is trying to change from the ways of WWF of pushing the Mainstays and Only elevate anyone else when someone retires....

Unlike WCW who digs up the fossles and put nWo shirts on them and make them Main Eventers for 4 years even after their 10 years past their prime.

However... The most likely choice is putting the belt on HHH

bangin the Bosses Daughter kinda gives someone influence.

but the good point of that is

the Edge HHH feud that is assumed or imagined might form there

with Edge getting into his first Main Event level match going after the World title.

Wow, the WWE is actually giving us matches between people who have never fought each other in a singles match before!:) Maybe things will start to change in the WWE.

I'm defintley ordering the pay-per-view now and maybe a Booker T. vs. nWo match is around the corner.

Something different that's great!

Taker/RVD

Austin/Eddy (Damn, Austin must be LIVID)

Edge/HHH (Couldn't happen to two better guys. HHH gets to be put into a boring Edge feud and this HORRIBLE Edge singles push will get crushed)

But where does that leave Jericho/Angle? Riko/Rico for the Tag titles? ???

I would be very interested in seeing the proposed bps21 card. Sort of like an up to date Fully Loaded 2000 as far as concept. Let's just hope at least one of the veterans are willing to put over this time.

"Edge/HHH (Couldn't happen to two better guys. HHH gets to be put into a boring Edge feud and this HORRIBLE Edge singles push will get crushed)"

I think that it may end up better than the Angle/Edge feud. Their stuff on SD was good IMO and I feel they have more chemistry than Angle/Edge. Angle should face Hogan and Hogan should BE MADE TO PUT ANGLE OVER AND JOB!!! That extra proposed match makes me want to see this show even more.

Actually Anglesault, the Austin/Eddie feud was Austin's idea.  I read that Austin wanted to feud with a better worker because his last two feuds were awful because they were either two old (Flair) or lazy and/or stoned (Hall). (Source 411wrestling.com)

Actually, I believe RVD and Taker had a match before that... and Booker T. interfered.  After that, RVD hit the 5-Star and beat UT right in the middle of the ring.

RVD has beaten UT once.  UT has beaten RVD... three times.  Or four.  Something like that.  I don't think UT really likes RVD, but he sees the star he can become and is willingly to help him get over.

Also, RVD has main-evented 2 PPVs.

WWF Vs. The Alliance (Winner Takes All).. RVD was part of the Alliance team.

Austin Vs. Angle Vs. RVD... I forgot what PPV.

I actually wouldn't mind seeing that card either, looks good enough to me.  For the Guererro vs. Austin match, would the IC title be involved, or would it be strictly a "grudge match"? I think if you could realistically put Guererro over Austin to retain the IC title it'd do wonders for the title's credibility, which is sorely lacking as with all titles recently.

It seems nearly Everyone wants RVD Taker at KOTR we should make a pertion because we all know that the WWE listens to its fans. They Will probably go with Triple H VS Taker cause i mean he hasn't held the title in over a month and they should put Eddy Over Austin for the IC title Clean.

"RVD and Eddy = Future of the WWE "

If the WWE's business is marketing pills and weed...Although in all seriousness, as much as I like Eddy Guerrero as a performer, I certainly wouldn't want to have to count on him to be the future of anything.

And while we are on the subject of Eddy G., did anyone notice his restyled mullet during the bar segments this week? As if it wasn't bad enough already, he's shaved it on the sides, really high up his head. He looks like Joe Dirt now.

Eww... then, what if HHH beats UT for the title at KotR?

Then what... HHH Vs. RVD at Vengeance?  That couldn't work... because RVD would never get the title, then.

If Taker/HHH happens at KotR, UT would have to go over... and only if HHH lets him.

Don't forget Taker still "owes" HHH a job... *points to WMX7*

Some

spoilers:

I think that unfortunately we are going to get Hogan/Undertaker again.

The rest of the card, speculated if they go with RVD vs. Undertaker:

RVD vs. Undertaker

Eddie vs. Austin

HHH vs. Edge

Jericho vs. Hogan (based on Hogan trying to retire on SmackDown and not being very happy in general, this could also be retirement match)

Booker T/Golddust vs. Show/X-Pac

And I would probably throw in Angle vs. Benoit. I think they'll run these later though, like Fully Loaded or whatever show is coming after just because of the tournament.

Now, here's mainly the spoiler part, they shook everything up so we might be headed towards:

Hogan vs. Undertaker

HHH vs. Test

Edge vs. Christian

Angle vs. Maven

Eddie vs. Austin

time to spark some flames and controversy:

RVD hasnt been in main events, because he isn't a main eventer, save in ECW, but face it...Mikey Whipwreck was a main eventer in ECW. RVD isnt at the main event level yet, and despite the fact that he's the internet's next Chris Benoit, he's not ready, and Vinnie Mac sees that, but nobody else can. If he laid off the weed and found a way to use his arms other than to point to himself prematch, and toned down the acrobatics a notch, then by all means, elevate him by Royal Rumble or so, because there are other people in line in front of him who ought to get the step up first.

I admit, RVD getting the push against Undertaker was one of the better things they did on RAW this week.  But, remember back in January, when RVD had the feud going with Jericho.  We all thought it would be RVD vs. Jericho at Royal Rumble, and that we'd get a fresh main event feud, but it wound up with Jericho vs. The Rock yet again.

The Austin/Eddie feud could be REALLY good.  Austin is always at his best when he's happy and motivated, and the fact that he supposedly asked for this feud could be a blessing.  I can see them having some really good matches.  I also agree that if Eddie got put over Austin to retain the title, it would make the title mean something.  It would also be better than the standard "Austin costs his enemy their belt against random opponent" storyline.

Triple H vs. Test hasn't meant anything since late '99.  Geez, I'm not the biggest Test fan in the world, but there are so many ways they can work a character from that immunity angle, but they settle for him trying to crush Mark Henry during a test of strength.

Edge vs. Christian again won't do anything to help either guy.

I don't see how facing Angle will help Maven, since he'll obviously lose to him.  A lot of these feuds are probably just setups for KOTR tournament matches.

Speaking of the tournament, how are they handling it?  I say that each brand takes 8 guys, has 4 qualifying matches, and the winners go onto the tourney.  Seed 1 from RAW faces Seed 1 from Smackdown, and so on.

I think they really are going to go with Vince vs. Hogan at KOTR. Taker vs. Hogan won't work again, and Vince vs. Hogan is a good bet to spark some interest unless they want to save it for SummerSlam or Wrestlemania.

I'm getting tired of the eighties and ninties stars the WWE is putting out.  Why can't we have more main eventers under thirty?  We need another "New Generation", without the Kliq.

so name a few legit contenders for the undisputed title that are under 30, and haven't held it all ready?
