Guest alfdogg Report post Posted May 21, 2002 Not actually trying to beat people up or anything. Just for fun, but still shoot, actually trying to make your opponent give up. What moves have you been able to pull off, and what moves have you gotten people to tap to? What have you tapped to? Moves I've done: Figure-four (even with his resistance) crossface chicken wing (tap-out) ankle lock (tap-out) Walls of Jericho (the REAL way, not how Jericho does it now) Rings of Saturn indian deathlock human torture rack there's more, but I can't remember them I tapped to a bearhug once because he had both of my arms trapped and was giving one of them ropeburn. And I was in it for like 10 minutes. (don't laugh, you know you couldn't handle being ropeburned for 10 minutes.) I've tapped to one other one, but I forget what it was. Guest Report post Posted May 22, 2002 I've done: Boston Crab (Almost into a liontamer position and I did make the guy tap to this.) Texas Cloverleaf Figure Four Leglock Scorpion Deathlock Dragon Sleeper (I saw one guy pass out to this, I wasn't doing it but the guy actually passed out from the torque the guy had on his neck.) Cobra Clutch I've been subject to: Tazzmission Figure Four Leglock Camel Clutch Ankle Lock STF Bearhug Torture Rack (I gave up on this, the constant friction on my back was too much for me, after about 12-15 minutes. The guy just wouldn't let up.)
Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Report post Posted May 22, 2002 I thought you guys were talking about real submision fights in here. There are a lot of submission moves that I use, but i have found the easiest to apply are the armbar and the paintbrush. I don't know if it's actually called the paintbrush, but that's what I know the move as. I can usually shoot a double-leg takedown and go into it immediately. If my opponent tries to keep me from capturing a wrist to put him in the move, I will do something like cover their mouth and nose with my hand so that I can grab their wrist. It's like the move Bob Holly put on Kenny in Tough Enough 2, but I do it the right way.
Guest Mark4steamboat Report post Posted May 22, 2002 that armbar thing hurts. My pe teacher put me in the torture rack. wow that does hurt. Anywho, a bunch of my friends get together and have shoot tourneys on my trampoline but we put boxes under it so it doesnt bounce. moves that always get a tapout are the tazzmission, anklelock(when done by me i.e correctly), the crippler crossface hurts really bad, and the only move i ever tap out to, the dragon sleeper. my friend does it and it hurts really bad. Guest The Metal Maniac Report post Posted May 26, 2002 All you gotta do is put someone face-down, and lock in a Full Nelson. I've actually done this; they were behind me, and we were both kneeling. Their head was right by my shoulder, so I grabbed it, and sort of lunged forward and done with it. This sent them over me in sort of a snapmare, and I instantly locked in the Full Nelson, and managed to foce them down to their stomach. You don't even need PRESSURE with this. The fucking thing is so hard to break if done well, that you can make them give up out of sheer fustration. I managed to hold on to it despite them rolling over on top of me (I rolled back over) and them getting to their feet and trying to drop out of the hold (As it's pretty much the only way to break the hold, I saw it coming. I dropped down with them, and got them back on their stomach). They just couldn't break the damn hold, and were forced to tap. And while I've never had great success with it personally, the front facelock seems very effective. Of course, the guy I locked it on was about twice my size, so he managed to power out, but still. It also works nicely as a counter to someone trying to shoot your legs. They come in with their head down already; all you gotta do is grab it, and you can even fall back with them and lock in the body scissor. Very nice hold. Guest treble charged Report post Posted May 26, 2002 I pretty much just make up my own holds as I go along. I borrow liberally from other moves (Chicken Wing, Crossface, Tazzmission). Although one time I did lock my brother up in the Crossface, as he was pissing my off, and I did get him to cry (sort of). My youngest brother (13) is the best for trying out new moves, since he isn't very strong. Basically, all I have to do is get him on his stomach and apply lots of pressure on his back. I've also given my oldest brother's friend, who was about 14 at the time and weighed 90 lbs (if that) the Torture Rack. He hasn't let me give it to him again, though. My friend's come up with one that hurts, but is really easy to get out of. Basically, when whoever you are fighting is lying on his stomach, you put your foot on his knee, grab his foot, and rear back. It is especially painful if the guy giving the move is wearing roller blades.
Guest J*ingus Report post Posted May 26, 2002 I might've invented another one, but it can only be done if you're really strong, or if the other person is small. Basically, you somehow get them up into a Razor's Edge/backslide-type position, back to back. Then you hook your arms around theirs, cup your hands together under their chin, and rear forward and hike them up on your back so that their feet don't touch the ground anymore. Then just put the pressure on them, it works like a combination full nelson/camel clutch. It's probably not too hard to break, but might be an awesome pro wrestling finisher, it looks fucking cool. Guest alfdogg Report post Posted May 26, 2002 Jesse Ventura used to use that.
