Guest papacita Report post Posted May 21, 2002 I wanna know what everybody thinks is the greatest Raw of all time. I can't narrow it down and pick a particular Raw, so I'm just gonna list my favorites 1. The Raw from May 93 where the Kid beat Razor Ramon and where Marty Jannetty beat HBK for the I-C Title. 2. The Raw from August 98 here in Philly where Taker and Kane got together and Kane fought Mankind in an HIAC (Philly bias) 3. ECW's reunion from last year. 4. The 1st Raw from MSG where Austin stunned Vince for the 1st time. That's all of mine.
Guest Kahran Ramsus Report post Posted May 21, 2002 The one where Ric Flair lost the Loser Leaves Town match to Perfect and the Savage/Repo Man blowoff.
Guest Report post Posted May 21, 2002 The ECW Reunion was No Doubt one of my Favorites. Also, From 97' Bret Vs Sid in the cage. After the match, Bret went on his tirade. I still mark out a little when I watch that. Only part I really hate about that one was HBK showing up the week before WM, after "lossing his smile", i.e, "knee injury," i.e, Bullshit! Guest Jack Tunney Report post Posted May 21, 2002 I've always liked the one from July of 1997 where the Hart Foundation was in the ring then all of the sudden Austin's music hits and he comes out.He stands near the entrance and counts all the Hart Foundation members with his fingers, then counts himself. All of the sudden Ken Shamrock comes out and Austin does the same thing and The Patriot comes out to his WWF debut. Then so on until Sid and Shawn Michaels come out.I also think this was the same night Dude Love debuted and won the tag titles with Austin. Guest Black Tiger Report post Posted May 21, 2002 The RAW after IYH: Revenge on the Taker. Austin vs Hart in a streetfight. (Austin didn't want to Bret to wear his black and pink tights, "because they look like crap anyway") Hart gets his knee fucked up by Austin and as they load Hart into an ambulance, Austin is in the driver's seat. Guest notJames Report post Posted May 21, 2002 I have many RAW favourite moments, like Foley winning the belt, the Bret tirade, Jericho's debut, etc., but my favourite RAW top to bottom would be... ... RAW is Owen (24 May 1999)

I was at the RAW when Dude Love debuted and I don't think they were the same show. The only time HBK came out was to announce that Dude Love would be the mystery partner. I'm pretty sure they are two different shows. Hell, I'm not going to say the ECW invasion since Steph debuted as the owner killing the angle dead. Wrestling-wise, I still love the RAW where Benoit and Jericho won the tag belts. Classic!
Guest Report post Posted May 21, 2002 I'm going to have to go with the Raw-Nitro simulcast from last year. Just one of those things you would absolutely never see, plus Raw was in Cleveland that night, my home town. Also, FearHavoc... that's really creepy with that Hart Foundation graphic, considering that 3 of the 5 guys in it have since passed away.
Guest Report post Posted May 21, 2002 Radicalz debut. I wasn't on the internet at that time, but I still watched WCW and knew who they were. Just a true "holy shit" moment, and I liked the booking of the show.
Guest Report post Posted May 21, 2002 I really don't have one particular show that is my favorite, but the last RAW that was most rewarding was the show where Booker T defended the WCW title against Angle for the first time. Even though Angle lost, the match itself was exciting and it was one of the few shows that made the WCW/ECW Invasion seem exciting.
Guest TheMikeSC Report post Posted May 21, 2002 Easily---4/17/00 RAW Jericho and HHH do the World Title "switch" Hardys v Essa Rios & Eddy Guerrero which led to the rather fun Rios v Guerrero match at BL 2K (and ignore SK---Backlash 2000 is the best PPV in history) Scotty 2 Hotty wins the LH Title from Dean Malenko and looks darned good in the process (no, seriously) A good---albeit horribly booked---APA & Jericho v dX match as the ME. Man, if the WWE pulled a show off like THAT now---people would wet themselves. -=Mike ...You can also throw in just about ANY RAW from about WM2K until the one before SSlam. Guest Mark4steamboat Report post Posted May 21, 2002 Raw is Owen. The Raw in 97 i believe when the ECW first Invaded. and The reBirth of ECW from last year.
Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted May 21, 2002 I just rewatched Raw is Owen a few days ago and it was still amazing to watch. That is my favorite.
Guest wolverine Report post Posted May 21, 2002 My favorites are: 4.21.97--Austin/Hart street fight, whole show is built around Austin, Pillman attacks Austin at the end of the show wearing crazy looking pants 9.14.98--Austin vs. Shamrock (this is probably the best one I've ever seen) 8.9.99--Jericho's debut
Guest Report post Posted May 21, 2002 Yeah, I was also going to say the Raw where ECW invaded for the first time. There are others up there as well, but only one other person mentioned this. I think it was 2/24/97, the week after Lawler challenged ECW. It was my first exposure to them. It was also the return of LOD, who I marked for and the return of Raw to the Manhattan Center. I believe this was also the first time Ken Shamrock was shown on WWF tv. Unfortunately, the show was headlined by Undertaker/Faarooq as the main event. I have this Raw on tape somewhere, and I'd love to find it because I'm pretty sure there were some good matches other than Sunny/Marlena arm wrestling. I'm not sure, but wasn't this also the last Raw to run an hour instead of 2?
Guest papacita Report post Posted May 22, 2002 I'm not sure, but wasn't this also the last Raw to run an hour instead of 2? That was the 3rd Raw to run 2 hours. The first was that "Royal Rumble Raw" before Final Four where they promised to show matches from the Royal Rumble but really just broadcasted a house show from the Skydome with little clips in between. They all wanted to know who Austin's partner was gonna be for the main event, and that's why all of those guys came out onto the stage. Michaels did an interview with McMahon later, where I think he begged him to be a part of SummerSlam, and then Dude Love debuted in the ME. Good Raw. And I forgot about the one after Revenge of the Taker. That was another one of my favs.

Hell, the only thing i remember was running my nephew to the restroom every 20 minutes and Ivan Fuckin' Putski!!! Of course, I remember Foley as Dude Love and the dark match was a 3way between Taker, Stone Cold, and Austin. I don't remember being completely entertained though. Guest Will Scarlet Report post Posted May 22, 2002 Raws that I am partial to: The one where Chris Jericho and Benoit won the Tag belts. I can remember that as being as one of the last times I ever truly marked out. The original ECW invasion because it was cool seeing guys like Stevie Richards on Raw. And the Bang 3:16 Raw, I believe it was called, where Austin kidnapped McMahon because McMahon fired him, and eventually showed McMahon that Shane had signed a new contract for him. I remember being on the edge of my seat for the whole Raw, wondering how it was going to end. That is a feeling I have not had in a LONG while when watching Raw. Yes, I remember that. I had missed RR and was very pissed off at what they did. That show's pretty blurry now. The only people I remember being there are Owen, Bulldog, Furnas, and Lafon.
