They have a VERY rich tape library, and he would even rise further in his satanic(Thank you Jim Hoss~!)plan to put a monopoly on North American wrestling. He wouldn't even have to hire any stars. Guest Hogan Made Wrestling Report post Posted May 21, 2002 The NWA is a worthless indie at this point, and most of the good tapes (at least the ones anyone would want to use) belonged to Crockett/WCW. That Bob Ryder thinks the NWA still has "brand value" tells you all you need to know. The only place where anyone remotely cares about it is in Japan, and that's only because top Japanese guys (Inoki, Hashimoto) buy the rights to the title and put it on one of their stars or themselves. How else would he be able to show the old footage of Ric Flair? >>> A few possible explanations: 1) Flair owns the footage --- I don't know, but I wouldn't be amazed. 2) It's a WCW asset --- when Turner bought out Crockett, he might have bought all of Crockett's video library. I doubt we'll see any Flair matches from OUTSIDE of Crockett's promotion.
