I'm guessing, that wrestler (I forgot his name) faked getting kicked in the balls and one referree was goning to call for the bell but the other one stopped him and then Shocker won. Guest Joe_G Report post Posted February 14, 2002 Well, first off, that was Tarzan Boy fighting with Shocker. The past few weeks TB has hitting low blows (called faltas) on Shocker and stealing wins in trios matches. Understand, a falta is like death in Mexico. You punched in the nuts, you're done. So rudos try to hit them as much as possible, or often fake like they've taken one to get a DQ win. You see a lot (and I mean a LOT) of lucha matches end in a DQ when a rudo tries a falta but gets caught by the ref. TB tried a falta but it didn't work, so he faked like he took a groin shot. The rudo ref (remember, there are 2 refs in a lucha match--one heel, one tecnico) was ready to award the match to the rudos, but was overturned by the tenico ref. I'm guessing he DQ'd Tarzan Boy for his blatant attempt at a falta earlier in the match or for being a liar. Hope that helps. You get used to it after a while.
