Poll: changing my name next spring

I'm going to be spending the spring semester in Finland. When I visited this past summer, everyone kept calling me "Tome," which was very annoying.

 

The 'o' sound in "Tom" is spelled with a double a, and I need to have a vowel at the end of my name so they can decline my name (they conjugate nouns the way we conjugate verbs in English... run, runs, running, etc).

 

Should I be Taami ("Tommy") or Taamo ("Tom-o")? Both forms are common in the Finnish language.
